In light of the rapid regional transformations until July 2026, the opening of the headquarters of the Egyptian “Strategic Command Center” emerged as a clear message of deterrence to every party seeking to redraw the maps of the region or bring about demographic changes in it.

Military and strategic expert, Colonel Dhafer Murad, confirms that this strategic edifice gives the Egyptian leadership advanced and exceptional capabilities to control and manage military and non-military operations, as well as effectively control the major crises ravaging the region.

Today, Egypt sits at the top of the Arab military rankings, and occupies an advanced position globally according to the "Global Firepower" index (Global Firepower), which enhances its ability to maneuver amid a cordon of burning threats. Despite the complex border challenges in Libya and Sudan, the water crisis with Ethiopia, and the repercussions of open confrontations between the United States and Israel on the one hand and Iran and its allies on the other, Cairo has succeeded over the past decade in engineering a very wise and influential foreign policy.

According to Murad, Egypt, thanks to its strategic geopolitical location linking the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Gulf states, is today at the forefront of redefining the concept of Arab national security. The importance of this fortification step is not only limited to protecting Egyptian interests, but also extends to forming a security umbrella for all Arab countries, especially the Gulf countries, which face growing threats. In the midst of attempts by regional and international parties to exploit the loopholes to fill the vacuum, Egypt returns with its military and diplomatic weight to prevent any penetration, thereby restoring its historical role and its established position in the Arab strategic conscience.
