Probably daft question to ask. US don’t need a huge fleet of expensive stealth Jets if you have air superiority around the globe, so just makes a lot sense to have a big fleet of non-stealth jets like build a new F16 viper that have the latest tech to participate in the modern battle-space. Case in point: B-52.

My point is 4TH Gen jets aren’t going anywhere, they’ll still gonna be the workhorses. F16 latest viper is not to be underestimated by any one.

This statement of yours is an outright lie.

USA established partial superiority that was still be challenged over specific select areas, and the bulk of its strikes done against Iran were done using long range SOW's ...

The last time USA tried to do a major operation directly over Iran was in April, it lost a few aircraft in that operation.

What is the proof for your statement?
Considering that the entirety of Iranian AD was dismantled within 2 weeks.

What "few aircraft" did it lose? The onus is on you to prove your own statement is not an outright lie.

Unlike some posters here, I know fighter pilots. And, I know of some of the training they go through to the extent they are able to share without violating security. They are more than capable of taking the fight to any adversary.

I also concur that any fight against a capable adversary on their turf will be a tough one. Just as if they were to fight us on our own turf, it would be a bloody one.

You mentioned WWII. The Japanese pilots were no slouches either. The problem they had was a lack of advancement in aircraft nor did they rotate their pilots out to ensure new ones were being trained by experienced ones.

In Korea, it was a known fact the USAF often fought against MiGs piloted by Russians.

The WWII Japan was only 1/10 of the US industrial prowess, and it was never a serious contender.

And the attack on the pearl harbor was just a desperate measure against the blockade.

And China does consider the entire Indo-Pacific as its turf.

The J-36 will have a combat radius of 1800 nautical miles without aerial refueling, and the J-50 will have 1200 nautical miles.

And the F-47 will have a combat radius similar to the J-50 to support the US bases in Japan and South Korea from the second island chain.
