More than a decade ago - India set out to become the world's next manufacturing powerhouse. Make In India was the most well thought and biggest initiative of the Modi Govt - however today our biggest 'success story' has become Fake in India. While corruption had always been a problem for India - today there is parallel fake economy that is putting lives at risk while destroying India's global reputation. Fake products, fake identities and fake institutions have become a national crisis. Why are frauds able to operate for years without being caught? Why are punishments so weak despite lives being at stake? Has accountability completely collapsed?
