Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

Didnt expect you to like such a stupid comment @Meengla you thought Hawaii was separate country now ?
Firstly, I often give 'Likes' to topic openers in this forum because new topics bring some fresh insights, whether I agree with them or not. Secondly, @flyingorca comparing the east Pakistan and its geography / proximity to India was a valid argument. You bringing Hawai--an island state of a Superpower with absolutely no land neighbors, let alone a hostile large neighbor-- is another deflection which you Imran fanbois bring in all the time.
A request: Neither Iran nor India is the main topic here but I will draw a comparison between Imran and Mujib ur Rehman as both are deeply interlinked with a good bit of Indian involvement in propping up another Mujib in Pakistan. We will NOT tolerate another Mujib in Pakistan!

Buddy we are NOT a democracy

We need to stop with this bullshit.
Democracy does not work for a nation like Pakistan

Our people are too Jahil
Our politics too corrupt

Democracy just brings chaos

We need to get rid of democracy and implement single party autocratic rule with all stakeholders having a space and saying

We need to push through change and development plans without constant fassad
Yes the jahils keep on bringing marshal law 😂..yesh jahils keep on enforcing people in Karachi and balchistan

You have to be very bold to claims that all the corruption is because of people voting as such
In general people haven't voted bad at all

It's disgusting manipulation for completely selfish ends. I think the Pakistani qom, including Pakistani Pashtuns, are not falling for it though.

Indians and the Imran fanbois tried to portray what happened in the Bara area of KPK as some mass uprising: Turned out, just a few hundred of a sub-tribe of the Afridi clan protested because their guy Sohail Afridi lost the power. And at least two dozens of those apprehended by the police were Afghan nationals.
PTI fanbois: Your game is over. Sad to see a potential third force which could have rid ourselves of the old order of the Sharifs and the Bhuttos self-destructed because it was led by a total fool and an extreme arrogant person.

And they are that Afghanistan/afghans make a claim on sovereign Pakistani territory and they back that claim up with actual violence
We have attempted for decades to counter this with trade and negotiations
But nothing has worked

While the Afghans have been a thorn on Pakistan's side since Pakistan's very foundation in 1947--you can see their attacks even during the Ayub Khan's era--but since 1979 some local tribesmen in Pakistan's border areas adopted the pan-Pasthunism too much. Pakistan's Establishment of that time (General Zia ul Haq) bears the primary responsibility for that: He could have and should have restricted the Afghan presence in Pakistan once the Soviets invaded.
I hate General Zia with a passion but either we move forward or we just keep blaming the mistakes of the past. If you hear Pakistan's Defense Minister Kh. Asif, he often admits the mistakes Pakistan made but he, like me, says we need to move forward to address the problem. And as I see it: Given the demands of the terrorists like Pakistan Taliban and the complicity of the Taliban's B Team called Imran Khan's PTI, there is no room for either of those two entities in Pakistan. Maybe a PTI led by anything but the Idiot Khan could be an option.

I know you dont think surrendering, the largest surrender since WW2 is humiliating but for anyone with ghariait it is

Jab izzat hey nahi tu beyizzati keysee

Waqee key logic hey, mashallah

Alhumdulilah not one of ghairatmand brigade ever came up with a slogan to avenge such a humiliation.

To think everyone in Awami League was Bengali is some xenophobic cope.

So Jinnah was stupid
Thanks for basically confirming my whole case
I agree with you a 1000% that you guys and establishment think the people, who created Pakistan were stupid..thats my case

So Jinnah was stupid, Fatima jinmah chosen by bengalis and mujeeb was stupid but you and establishment who couldnt "control" bengal were smart to create bengal

Now to the point that two countries separated cant operate in 1970🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

Dude we had countries operating like this for last 1000s years and you are talking about 1970s🤦🤦..
even today France, usa Britain have territories sometimes very large

Didnt expect you to like such a stupid comment @Meengla you thought Hawaii was separate country now ?

Pakistan population would have been second only to india and china and bigger economy then british and french by purchasing power if it had grown simialr to bengaldesh economy after 1971

All you needed was just listen to mujeeb 6 point but no establishment wanted resources..its the same story minerals, money, oil, drugs and smuggling

Its the goose for Pakistanis majors and generals to retire overseas like kings
You seem to be spiralling downwards with every new post into an ever deepening abyss of false conjecture.

Nobody said Jinnah's entire plan was stupid, only that one particular aspect of it was unsustainable and illogical, given the benefit we now have of hindsight.

And please don't compare Hawaii-mainland USA to West and East Pakistan. There is no hostile land mass populated by 1.5 billion jeets lying in the mid Pacific Ocean is there? Not that anyone would mind if India was somehow shifted there..

Deflection seems like in the genes of the PTI fanbois. Why be surprised when the Idiot Khan himself gives veiled threats of separation by referring to East Pakistan / Mujib.
They can do anything to gain power. Anything. The Idiot Khan blamed America for his ouster from power, used the platform given to him by the stupid, soft state of Pakistan for a year to gain popularity by chanting against America--an easy sell in Pakistan--and after gaining the popularity, he stopped blaming America and in fact his minions were campaigning in America to financially punish the state of Pakistan. Brings to mind the good old Ghalib verse 'Ussi Uttar key Londey se Dawa Mangtey hey woh'.

We do not do politics, we just need someone to blame for our ills. After all we are all Arastooz.

Is Sheikh Rashid, product of Pakistani student politics?

Student politics is about more division, varying loyalties and fighting. Pakistanis are generally not very good at holding positions of power. It gets to their head.

Nobody is going to be perfect. The worst politicians will still be better than the best dictator because as soon as they get stale, you can vote them out in the next election cycle.

Sheikh Rashid is more of a product of GHQ no? They all are currently. That is exactly the type of bottom-feeder mentality that will go away if you make grabbing the popular vote the only real way to grab power in Pakistan.

You will have the same crook Pakistanis but now they'll be incentivised to work. That's all you need to do at the start, you don't need them to be honest as a rock. God knows the army officers aren't either, we just pretend not to notice.

You will also continue to have army/deep-state making sure the overarching 10-year policy plans stay rolling. Like they do in USA where no matter who is President Israel ko trillions of dollars dena hi dena hay. Likewise there can be 'red lines' put in place that the civilian leaders will not touch.

You have to confront the root issues

And they are that Afghanistan/afghans make a claim on sovereign Pakistani territory and they back that claim up with actual violence

We have attempted for decades to counter this with trade and negotiations

But nothing has worked

We must now remove EVERY AFGHAN from the country

We must seal the border

Hostile areas or district's MUST be cleared out and a beefed up police and security force in place constantly

Any propaganda against the state must be countered and those spreading it must face consequences and arrest

Change comes over years and decades, not days

So basically repeat past operations. Ok, bold decision. Let us see if it works this time. Hopefully it does not result in thousands of IDPs and flattened towns and villages in KP right?

Why would the GoP have to declare emergency to get access to minerals?
Do you understand how "national resources and assets" work?

They are not a "provincial" property. Just like natural gas from Sui was used all over Pakistan, and water from Kashmir, KP is diverted to all other provinces, the federation has access to such resources and no province can veto that.

The provinces are paid back through NFC awards. The federation invests to recover the natural resources in the respective provinces, a portion of these proceeds/upsides are repatriated back to the provinces through NFC award.

The provinces have and do negotiate for various things with the center and this is how this gets worked out. From time to time, you will hear etho-nationalist voices claiming "center is exploiting our wealth", the reality is that the provinces themselves don't have the means to invest in such things all by themselves. As an example, even for Sui gas and other reasons, Balochistan has consistently been given a much greater share of NFC per-capita than other provinces.

Imagine oil being discovered in a part of the country, does that province only benefit from such a discovery? That isn't how the rest of the world works.

An answer to whether democracy is better or not for Pakistanis, or whether we are more jahil than Iran, India and BD.

It will take time I think. Older people on this forum have grown up pistol whipped into accepting that civilians are idiots and faujis are geniuses.

They forget that both Pakistani civilian and Fauji come from the same society. In fact civilians, at least those with some money experience far better education and see/do far more than the average fauji who spends the best years of his life marching and stomping and shouting orders.

Yes, military is a key stakeholder in all countries but only when their specific set of expertise is required.

I think younger population understands this far better because especially in my generation, with my peers who have gone into services I know frankly how intelligent they are. Nothing they can do that I can't (and vice versa of course).

Hopefully they will start deporting all the afghans from KPK now.

They need to shield the young people especially from them so they can develop socially free from attempts at psychological dependance and anti state, self sabotaging sentiments. There should be a complete disconnect.

End of the day, the main question still remains. Why did the country's powerful military and intelligence handed over a whole province to terrorists??

Please tell us what is the issue if Pakistan could extract minerals and then use and/or export those minerals? This development, if true, rather should be welcomed. What PTI has done in last 14 years' rule after issuing several thousand mining licenses?

Your nonsense is more aimed at giving an emotional twist for people of KPK. If that's the case then lanat on you.

The people of KPK gave a shit to the overseas youtuber youthias who are trying to cope because people have already rejected them and PTI by not coming out to streets after Sohail Afridi's assh was kicked and thrown out of CM house.
Why yo*thias are trying to create a fuss regarding minerals in KPK. A former PTI insider's view.
