ATGM has long been using fiber optics. This one is just a cheaper and more maneuverable version of it, more or less.

FPV drones can hover and allow the operator to carefully maneuver and target the tank's weak spot, the ammo storage. The operator can't do that with an ATGM.

What if you cut the fiber optic Cable. What happens to the drone? How is it different than wire guided missile, except being much slower than it.

I have to agree. This isn't anything new and actually may even be considered out of date with longer ranged "fire-and-forget" the latest strategy...which is the direction where drones SHOULD be going.

Missiles are too fast for operator to control. FPV can hover and move in any direction. FPV enables the operator to carefully maneuver and target a tank's weak point such as the ammo storage.
