A lot of videos of FPV drone strikes but I don't see any of the vehicles catching fire or being obliterated.

After the smoke clears (which seems to be created from the destruction of drone itself), there doesn't seem to be much damage to the target.

On top of that, some of vehicles the drones are striking seem to be already abandoned. I am assuming these strikes are done for propaganda purposes maybe?

There's not that many tanks around. Only a few hundred. Modern tanks are very complex. Once damaged, it's almost impossible to repair and have to be scrapped.
