Bastian Schweinsteiger has defended comments he made ahead of Germany’s World Cup match against Ivory Coast last weekend.

Schweinsteiger, who is working for German broadcaster ARD during the tournament, described African football as “wild”, “unorthodox” and “perhaps not tactically driven” before the match in Toronto, drawing significant criticism.

Bogdanović most notably played for La Liga side Atlético Madrid and Germany's Werder Bremen during his career.

Former La Liga striker Rade Bogdanović has apologised after a racist comment he made during a World Cup fixture on Sunday sparked outrage online.

During the game, Bogdanović, who was working as a pundit on Serbian TV, questioned the concentration and focus of Black players.

"I've always said those players - and I'm really not racist - but Black players lack the concentration to last more than 60 to 80 minutes," he said.

"When we played, we sometimes had to protect our own players to stop them making mistakes," he added.

Dutch football association to sue over racist slurs after World Cup exit

The Netherlands’ penalty loss to Morocco prompted an outpouring of social media abuse directed notably at Black players.

Your superiority complex around the game is irrelevant. FIFA made the correct decision and Belgiums appeal was denied. The US hasn’t bullied anything. Calling for a review and appeal of a ruling isn’t bullying or corruption.

You would have a stronger case if Infantino made the final ruling, but he has no such authority. The final ruling was made by the disciplinary committee, and it’s a stretch to suggest Trump somehow corrupted the committee. If you have evidence of that, then present it.

The final ruling was correct in the end due to the VAR protocol violation.
Red card was debatable ONLY for the technicality of incorrect protocol. The foul itself was definitely a red cardable offence.

But regardless, if it was given, a match suspension MUST follow. The red card has not been rescinded, therefore the suspension should also stand.

But what makes this an absolute shit storm is political interference in the decision making process. The problem is we all know you would go to town on ANY other government for such interference. What's good for the goose.

The only caveat I feel exists is that this decision might have gone over Pochettino's head and may simply have been some b.s. between politicians and Infantino. I would absolve Pochettino and Balogun if this is true.

Please note though that such blatant political interference in football team administration usually attracts immediate suspension of the national football association by FIFA. Countless countries around the world have had their associations suspended because of exactly what Trump has done (regardless of the innocence, or otherwise, of the players and manager).

‘A despicable woman’: Kylian Mbappé hits out at Paraguayan senator over racist attack

Celeste Amarilla wrote a long tirade on X, describing Mbappé as a “colonised Cameroonian, desperately trying to pass himself off as French” and as a “brute who had not learned to write”. Paraguay’s players should have ‌slapped him after the ‌match, she added.

Bro', I'm telling ya', it's the women. Those Latinas are BSC as it is and then almost on queue, they take it to a whole new level.

PSA: do NOT upset one of them. Better still....don't get too friendly with them either.

Latinos do have a major racism issue. If you visit Mexico or South America you see the white or white-adjacent folk occupy all the good positions while the black and mixed folks form the lower and poor classes. Colorism is also a major problem in Latino societies.

And the thing is, many of them are not white themselves.
