It's disgusting. And it's USA's fault. Though FIFA must share the blame for allowing this profiteering.

Tickets for England's game at Dallas are still available. Normally, tickets go cheap this close to a game to ensure full capacity at a stadium.

The starting price for these left over seats is around £600. Some of the seats are still going for £5000.

A frigging GROUP GAME vs Croatia.

Many group games in USA will fail to sell out, which is unthinkable for a world cup.

Did anyone sit down with our American friends and explain to them what is supposed to happen during a world cup? Or did that clown Giuliani (I don't know if he's related to Rudy??) just keep opening his mouth and saying how awesome it is that ordinary fans, who have already travelled half the world to get there and paid extortionate amounts on transport and hotels, are being priced out of their brains to watch a group game?

OK. Accommodation...I accept should be expensive. That is understandable. Private businesses are entitled to make good extra profits. But the match ticket should not be extortionate and the public transport for match goers should be heavily discounted from normal (even FREE as has happened in some tournaments previously), rather than increased.
