Great World Cup so far, packed stadiums, electric games. It seems the world is having a wonderful time in America.

FIFA ought to be ashamed of themselves. Allowing the USA authorities to drag the Iranian team around - pIssing about with their visas - making stay 300 miles away from where they play - then not allowing them practice - disrupting their whole schedule and then expecting them to perform like other teams that are given 5 star treatment?
Looking at the obstacles - Iran did well.
Noticed the TV broadcasters didnt allow us to see the support the Iranians had from the crowd. Imagine being so petty and blocking that?

As the lone reasonable American here, I have to admit I am disappointed, frankly embarrassed, by the way this situation is being handled. Russian and Belorussian tennis players are not being treated like that for tournaments here in the US.

Yes, I was rooting for Iran.

As for the body that was found in the trunk near where Team Iran is training, that frankly is an everyday occurrence in Mexico. It's being sensationalized because of the proximity to where Team Iran is based for the tournament.

Of the four games scheduled today, ARG-ALG is likely going to be the only one worth watching. Somehow, I don't equate Norway with soccer. Then again, there is the Jamaican bobsled team. :-)

I have 100% sympathy for the Iranians. If anything the US FIFA should volunteer to put them up in luxury hotels in the US...and it is disappointing that they have not. I'm sure tons of Americans would happily foot the entire bill instead of seeing them stuck in Mexico.

One of the Iranian players is IRGC so not following your logic here.

The "security risk" can most certainly be managed.

After years of not watching soccer I'm now back in after watching NZ vs Iran. It pulled me back in after watching and hearing the crowd and the passion I got reminded what I'm missing. This also means Premier League is back on my schedule after WC.... Never walk alone guys!
