Turkey underperformed against Paraguay, but I'm even more surprised that they lost to Australia 2-0.

Turkey vs Paraguay reminded me of Iran vs USA in 2022. Iran was behind 1-0 and all we needed to advance to the next round was one goal and we had one complete half of the match ahead of us to score a goal. We spent most of our time passing the ball without really dangerous shots on the target. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. Sometimes you need players like Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe to change the result with a stroke of genius when you're stuck.

Don't they have a small theoretical chance if they win against the US? I mean in theory they can advance as the third team of their group, no?

Say that Turkey defeats the US by a miraculous result like 4-0. Is it still theoretically impossible for them to advance to the next round?

Edit: I just realized that even if Turkey defeats the United States, it will change nothing because qualification is based on head-to-head records. Since they have lost to both Australia and Paraguay, they have been eliminated.
