Yeah, they are hyper nationalists, though I think the average Iranian is still a bit more deluded, lol. Their team is far superior to ours in technical ability (although we usually draw against them). The ranking system is hilarious, we beat most Asian teams and they rank us 20th in the world, even though we are largely evenly matched with the technical ability of New Zealand, ranked 80th.

Our defence is worse than it has been in a long time. I didn't think I'd be missing Cheshmi, but here we are. Not having Hosseini or Gholizadeh are also big misses.

You arent factoring the polava with visa and hotel issues. The iranian team hasnt had for example the same protocol as others or 5 star treatment. Literally shipped around and not knowing where they are training etc.
Surely that will hinder their performance bro

yeah, it's outrageous. half of our technical staff were refused visas as well. and the Iranian Persian Gulf Pro League has been suspended for months since the war, so these players are far from peak form.
