Missed the Argentina vs Cape Verde game. Never expected extra time in that game and for Argentina to struggle this much. It seems that the Cape Verdeans impressed once again. By far the biggest surprise of this tournament. Incredible. KSA's draw with them looks like a better result by the day. Fair play to them but it is overall good that Argentina and Messi advanced.
The Moroccan brothers are playing very poorly (by their standards) today, but they are showing their class by taking the lead and holding on to it. Saibari going off with an injury is a huge blow, though. From what I recall, they already have quite a few injuries.
Inshallah they will hold onto the lead.
I don't see how Morocco played "bad" in objective terms. They can't go great guns for 90 mins every single game. Some days they have to absorb pressure and counter attack when the opposition is tired and vulnerable. I think they played today perfectly and have matured into a world beating team. They are a level above any other African or Arab team and have developed into a "tournament team" because of this maturity. To be fair Canada made it this far coz of home support. I don’t disagree with your point Morocco played very bad in this game.
