They didn't achieve anything. Round of 16 is about as far as the US ever goes in World Cups. A quarter final appearance would have been an achievement.

Tim Ream, horrible, but he’s 38 and shouldn’t have been put in this position. Matt Freese, disaster. Never should be on this team again.

Problem is our top athletes play NFL and NBA you yourself have seen how big and fast these guys are 6'5 + height 230-240 lbs running a 3.3 forty. Imagine if these atheltes decided to put their sons in soccer instead of murcan football....

I don't mean to get racial but the blacks on team USA are not as big, physical or fast as NFL and NBA. They couldn't cut it for football or basketball so they tried soccer where 16 year boys can play with men in the pro level.

I agree . They made Belgium look very competent today. Belgium will get cooked by Spain.

Perhaps @SolarWarden 's mention of physical teams being able to bully USA off the ball is what counted today. Whatever it was USA just weren't at the races. Helpless in Seattle.
