I'm getting in fights online with my compatriots on defence sites when they call for purchases of Indian equipment or cooperation on defence matters and technology. One was asking me the other day "well then if the Indians lost Rafale why are they buying more?" I explained to him the reasons,I had him constantly disagree with me. He called me a "pak(i)" supporter,I shouldn't believe what I read on pak forums,totally clueless etc.

The lifespan of the Mirage 2000 and F-4E aircraft of the Greek Air Force should be almost exhausted, right? You need about 40 new planes.

If Greece's finances are abundant, then choose the F-35 and Rafale; if finances are tight, then choose the F-35 and second-hand F-16.

China can never sell J-10EC to Türkiye. You don't need to consider the results of the air war between Pakistan and India.

I have different opinion.

They are getting bolder by every conflict.No one in Pakistan was expecting brahmos/shadow assault in May stand off.
Now What's next? Hypersonic ballistic missile assault?
We had no answer to brahmos in May neither we can counter-match them in precision & ballistic missile fire power.


They hold the escalation ladder until now.In this context, i regard J35 a proactive step to introduce a completely new technology in battlefield.

this is somewhat incorrect.
France is part of NATo systems of systems and that is how NATO was designed for the cold war that countries made up gaps for each other.

NATO standards is what let everything connect. You should be thankful for Link-16 and then Link-17 adoption by PAF or rather that USAF turned PAF from its flying club beginnings into a systems of systems force the effects of which still bearing fruit today.

India had no such “inculcation” of ideas and doctrine in any uniform fashion barring a period post 65 where they sent droves to study and learn from abroad and put competent men in command.

Their issue isn’t having competent men, it’s that their competence is outweighed by the need to “dont make noise and make everyone look good”.

Pakistan suffers at various levels from this too but there were just enough competent men who waited to make an impact within this mentality.

Additionally, Pakistan being the security military elite state it is means it faces less hurdles with pushing military reform through having power and say because they’re the boss.

India due to its democratic and extremely strong civil service system meant the military is one of the various institutions with their own power struggles and therefore are always looking for stamps rather than getting things done.

They have made steps recently because of the BJP to remove the stamp culture(at the expense of other aspects of national cohesion) so it is very likely that empowerment comes down to the military as well.

India cannot replicate such wide ranging and expensive infrastructure and support for the Rafales.

With Israeli/Indian AEW, Israeli/Indian/Russian SAMS, Israeli/Russian EW, Russian refuellers.

Be interesting to see how these planes fit into an IAF, which by all signs,, has a more diverse set of suppliers, systems, weapons, protocols and comms then any other air force on the world

IAF and Indian top brass had and has the choice.
The price include local assembly (it has a price), support and probably a deep weapon package.

Again using Indian satalites for accuracy and took satalitex photos to show the proof using Indian satalites
