France stopped UAE to deploy its Rafales against Azeri JF-17 Block 3 in Falcons Meet 2026 war drills

On a serious note French relucent to sell Rafales first humiliation by PAF second is that India paid in cash only 30% of the cost and rest give credit note and pushing French to buy products from us and adjust the amount by giving them a bribe we will buy more but French are insisting that they will gave them fully assembled Rafales without source code and all payment in cash and off course with above mentioned condition not to fly.

Those are just YouTube walley chacha stories.

Do you know that these Air Forces (in the region) have support staff from Dassault at all times...

So, its NOT like they can take anyone up for a joyride.

That makes the loss of Rafale for France more bitter.

On top of it Rafale is earmarked for carrying nukes should the need arise....
More than three fallow orders cancelled or at least on hold plus 3 other nation previously showed interest runaway.

Now French are saying " Itni tou kamai b na hoyi jitney ka pant suit phat gaya" :ROFLMAO:

French can't sell nuclear capable air launched missiles to India and they are not allowing India to add their own or sourced missiles to be inducted for Rafales since they refuse to share source code to India plus French also push India not to maintain Rafales by HAL / India and maintenance only be carried out by French themselves plus training for Rafales by French only.

That makes the loss of Rafale for France more bitter.
When i said in the region, I am certain about GCC & Egypt.

I can't speak for the Indians.

Remember when things heated up last year...

Dassault went to the Indian Air Base on the West to check up on the numbers, I suppose, but weren't given access (which was a first).

I suppose India was able to convince both France & Dassault to downplay the entire event. France probably realized that its best to play dumb otherwise the thought of a Chinese Missile coming off a Chinese Jet at the hands of Pakistan would've put a major dent on the sales of their precious Rafale to future customers.

Coincidently..., @Areesh put it in the best words possible some time back...

The French have been left traumatised. No doubt about it. The French have investigated the downing of the Indian Rafale fighters. They have been left shell shocked at the findings. The sophistication and capability that Pakistan air force used to down multiple Rafale fighters.

The French are known to be very arrogant and stubborn. Their arrogance has been absolutely shattered. This is absolute fear that we are witnessing.
That's the payback for them backing out of Avionics deal for Thunders.

You are right, but the French are butthurt after investigating the downing of their Rafale fighters during Sindoor. The French probably don't want PAF to learn more about this aircraft. In reality, as you rightfully claim, PAF has already extensively flown against the Rafale. In fact, there are claims that Pakistani fighters have even actually flown the Rafale itself. This is just butthurt by the French and it makes sense after Sindoor. The French are pretending to be cautious.
Flying against Rafle or any other jet in a dog fight has no bearing in a BVR fight, which primarily depends on a secure, silent net centric kill chain.

You are absolutely correct. France basically chose India over Pakistan due to market size and geopolitics, even though Pakistan had long been a loyal customer of French defense equipment. The French will never admit it, but they backstabbed Pakistan and backtracked on crucial deals.

Today, it is a bitter pill for them to swallow, especially after Pakistan adopted Chinese systems and successfully downed premium fighter jets. Imagine backstabbing a former customer, downplaying their capabilities and then selling premium hardware to their adversary. Only to find out that Chinese hardware in Pakistani hands is highly capable and advanced.

Yeah, prior to 2000 Pakistan had been a loyal customer from early 70s and days of Mirage, Daphne, Agosta, Agosta 90B Subs, Mistral and Crotale SAMs, Aloutte and Puma choppers, Breaguet Atlantic MPA, Exocet missiles etc.

Post 2000 Turks, Italians and Chinese basically took over much of France's market share in Pak. For 25 years all France got out of India was 6 Subs and 36 (now 28) Rafales. Even the French now realise they were played...

The French have been marketing the Rafale as their national pride and most sophisticated fighter for many decades. In fact, the Europeans often parade it as their best fighter. Even better than the EF. It hurts them to admit that this happened. It has been a humiliation.
The Rafale is indeed an excellent fighter jet. When analyzing the comprehensive performance of the airframe alone, it is certainly superior to the J-10CE.
In a recent CCTV interview with PLAAF pilots, they explicitly stated that the Rafale’s dogfighting capabilities are significantly better than those of the J-16—though they did not mention another truly critical aspect: BVR (Beyond-Visual-Range) combat.

This is precisely where the key difference lies. In the era of BVR (Beyond-Visual-Range) combat, the Rafale fighter clearly has not kept pace. To be more precise, the BVR capabilities of the Rafale fighters operated by both the Indian and Egyptian air forces are evidently far inferior to those of the J-10CE fighter. A crucial distinction here lies in the BVR air-to-air missiles (AAMs) they carry.

It’s like this:
Suppose I were to face off against heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
If we fought bare-handed, I would obviously be no match for him.
However, if he were holding a short wooden club while I held a fully loaded AK-47, with 100 meters between us, then I would have a 99.999999% chance of winning...
Yet, no one would consider me a better fighter than Tyson.

Or,

let’s consider a different scenario. Suppose a Rafale fighter were sent to China and AVIC carried out a deep integration of the PL-15E beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVR AAM) onto the aircraft. If that Rafale were then to engage in aerial combat with a J-10CE, the J-10CE would not necessarily achieve a decisive victory.
