From visa rejections to unofficial bans: Are a few bad apples spoiling India's global image abroad?

Give an indian repetitive tasks to do and some hot spicy vegetable curry, helps an indian work, rest and play.

Pakistanis create posts like this to feel good about themselves. They want to forget that their situation is even worse than that of Indians.

But please continue. 🍿

I'm not surprised by the negative press and the rejection of visas.

1. Indians abroad act poorly (probably the smallest contributing factor).

2. Visa scams and illegal immigrants have flooded into the west and now they're very visible. Especially single young men who come here to work, come via dodgy means and then have little to no work. If you live in a room with 2 other people - you're gonna spend as much free time as possible outside. This increases the visibility.

3. The online bakhts, scam call centres and the Bob venegenes of the world have ruined thier image anyway. This affects peoples impressions of them. It adds as a multiplier to everything else.

4. In the past companies would export admin jobs or skilled work to India to do it on the cheap. Now companies are importing Indians for the same reasons. The increased competition and reduced wages breed resentment.

I feel sorry for the Indian communities who moved abroad in the past and worked hard to cultivate an image through hard work, education and abandoning thier culture to adapt the culture of thier host nations. They fit in - these new guys shine a negative light on them through association.

Yeah, the established Indians in my area hate the newbies off the boat, although I enjoy seeing them turn on themselves personally....

I have seen ALL this crap and more.

Come to my local park, once a peaceful green space now littered every Saturday and Sunday for the weekly barefoot Ranji Trophy tournaments. You think I'm joking.

In a professional sphere, as soon as one of your lot gets into HR or some recruitment role, the call goes out to dozens back in Hindustan that a "special" pathway is now available for them to avail, while domestic UK based graduates are sidelined. The clowns in senior management let it happen because it saves a buck in the short term. Mercifully, in my industry, a few senior folks have pushed back on these indocentric practices and legislation and have now consciously favoured a domestic UK trained workforce base. A catastrophe may yet be averted.

Have a glance at my earlier post. Boris Johnson started this with his cross dressing curry munching buffoonery. He sold Brexit as some unbridled success story, when in reality, it was a subtle mechanism for him and his Indian allies to replace Eurozone migrants with Indian migrants for the benefits of a cheaper workforce and personal enrichment. I'm glad this is finally all coming out after so many tried to keep a lid on it, though I personally would have waited a bit longer and let the giant statues start popping up around Heathrow airport - just for added giggles.

Very similar in my area and industry.
