After this news, the current ruling coalition is already discussing a sixth or seventh round of auctioning PIA, hoping it will have a better bid than the last time. Meanwhile, the other issues with the bid were ignored.

I honestly wished Pakistan had a national violin-playing band.

You might remember me saying I looked at the government's inflation report about two months ago. The data has been tinkered with considerably to give an upside-rosy picture.

After all, this is a government whose largest province showed a negative budget surplus and overnight went positive before the IMF meeting. :unsure:

What do you think? Remember, per the bidding contract, the purchase must honor all the commitments before its acquisitions. This is the reason the last bid was so low after they ran the numbers.

They have no idea what to do. Government is under pressure from the PIA employees (mostly filled with jiyalas of PPP). it's a nonstarter as PIA will crumble under it's own weight.
