Germany Coalition Government Collapses

Declining economic fortunes, immigration, raging war on the continent has probably made Germans restless, angry and frustrated. Failure of the leftist parties or centrist coalition has probably laying the political mood for a strong but extremist to take over. Reminds us of a man with a moustache in 1940s.
Actually, no.

The talking point in German politics is taxes and budget, they all have similar outlook on Policy with regard to War in Ukraine and Immigration (both CSU and SPD as well as FDP aligned on both subject) but it was the taxes that split them apart. CSU wanted to cut corporate tax, SPD want to raise transaction tax, while FDP wanted the Debt Brake gone.

There can never be mustache man scenario in Germany, they make it that no single party can win a majority in German election since both Germany reunited, the closest is when Merkel CDU/CSU won 41% of seat back in 2013.

CDU and CSU (ex-Merke party) is going to win this majority, who they form an alliance to govern Germany is the only question.

CDU already ruled out a coalition with AfD, making CSU making a coalition with current incumbent party SDP very likely if they win.

One of the way AfD can enter government is if they somehow defeated CDU (can happen, not likely) and they form a government with Far Left BSW, given if BSD have more than 5% of national vote (You can't enter Bundestag unless you win 5% of national vote) But this is very unlikely.

Coalition goverments are "such fun" !!!

Well, it's always a coalition government since East and West Germany united.

Some say they don't want the ex-East German right winger to come solely in power, some say this is done so there cannot be another mustache man 2.0 scenario.

Actually, the 1920s.

Germany was such a a mess by 1933, the government was handed over to Adolf Hitler.

Are they actually far right though? Or are they what liberal media calls far right these days?

Who is far right? CDU or AfD? None of them are far right.

CDU is center right, again, Merkel party. AfD is a dictatorship that neither left nor right, nobody in the entire Germany Party System willing to form coalition with.

Other German opposition parties think that they AFD are far-right as well they can not all be wrong.

AfD are neither left or right, you can say it's both.

AfD platform is similar to Germany Nationalism, it's a German first party, which in itself is a Left leaning ideology (as it is for people) however, the "German" in their eyes is "White German" in 2017, they literally declare Muslim as enemy of German, and said Islam does not belong to Germany, they are anti-Immigration, which is right leaning policy, as well as Anti-EU and being Euroskeptic, which again, Right Leaning. But their "Germany First Policy" have crew in the Far Left, which making BSD (Far Left) a prospective coalition partner, again, if they can win 5% of the vote.

So you tell me

And AfD is the opposition party in Germany, they won't ever govern Germany. It's even worse than the reform party in the UK.

I see similarities between UkReform& AFD popularism PARTIES. The AFD is conservative by what I’m seeing I still class them on the extremist side of politics - AFD is what CDU/CSU were at one time I believe CDU were anti Turkish German in the 80s what I remember growing up reading about them. It was Merkel that transformed the CDU into a Socialist Party. Like U.K. conservatives becoming more left have spawned Reform U.K.

Is not matter of AFD winning is matter of forming Government. If they can’t form government the winning will be totally useless.

AfD is formed just like Labour party in the UK when they were first formed in 2013. But with a twist. They run on a platform of worker's right and anti-EU (they see EU as killing Germany, from labor force to currency) and was extremely anti-EU.

The Anti-EU platform then got picked up by the far right extremist, they wanted little regulation for what they champion for, which basically an ideology of German Centric Policy that put Germany first but with extreme measure (such as seizing right of individual German as long as you don't fit in a certain group they defined)

Merkel is center right, lean to the center, a pro-Europe conservative, I won't say Merkel is left leaning, if I have to put a party in the UK and compare it to CDU under Merkel it will be more like Liberal Democrat than Labour party (especially Corbyn era Labour)

Let it collapse.

Anyone familiar with German politics from 1930 to 1933 on the far right, will welcome this.
