GIDS - Global Industrial Defence Solutions

King Abdullah II arrived in Pakistan on Saturday on a two-day visit that marked a significant milestone in reinforcing the historic bonds of fraternity and brotherhood between Pakistan and Jordan.

He visited the Global Industrial and Defense Solutions (GIDS) conglomerate in Rawalpindi on Sunday, where he was received by Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and other senior Pakistani officials.

The Jordanian king was briefed on the structure, capabilities and product portfolio of GIDS, showcasing Pakistan’s progress in indigenous defense production, technological innovation, and potential avenues for bilateral defense cooperation.

“COAS (chief of army staff) underscored the strong defense partnership between Pakistan and the Hashmite Kingdom,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, said following King Abdullah’s visit to the Tilla firing ranges after GIDS.
