Khaplu
Khaplu is one of the most beautiful places in the entire country.
Khaplu is in Ghanche, which is the smallest district in Gilgit Baltistan. Khaplu's culture is a unique blend of Kashmiri, Persian, and Chinese elements.
Buddhism influences are notable as well, which used to be the area's primary religion before Islam came over. The city is famous for its unique mosques and beautiful royal palaces that are now luxury hotels. The Khanqah, as well as the Chaqchen mosque, are different than the average mosque in Pakistan.
If you're more interested in adventure or hiking, Khaplu has that sorted for you. You can visit the lakes on top of the mountains, and you can also see some snow leopards if you're lucky.

Junction Point
Number three on the list is Junction Point. Now, Junction Pointone is interesting and unique and something that I've never seen anywhere else. This point is close to Gilgit, and this is where three of the mightiest mountain ranges meet: the Hindu Kush, the Karakoram, and the Himalayas.
The truth is, this is my personal favorite in all of Pakistan. I don't know what it is about this place, but it's rugged with that beautiful blue river. I would recommend going early in the morning or in the late afternoon, so there are fewer people there. You can sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of these rugged, majestic mountains all around you in the presence of that beautiful blue river that flows. It's easy to get to the junction point; it's pretty close to Gilgit, roughly half an hour away.
Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat
Getting to Ferry Meadows and Nanga Parbat is no easy feat. To get there, you must drive the most dangerous road in the entire world. You will need to get a jeep.
From Raikot Bridge, it will drop you off after an hour and a half, and then you will need to hike up, which will take about two to four hours. It's a moderate to difficult hike, but when you see the beautiful Nanga Parbat from up there, the whole thing makes sense.
It is such a different vibe—the meadows themselves are serene, calm, and beautiful. I would warn you if you're scared of mountains or not very fit physically, this trip is not for you.

Khunjerab
The next spot on the list is Khunjerab. Khunjerab includes the pass as well as the national park. The Khunjerab Pass hosts the highest land border between any two countries, Pakistan and China. It also has the highest ATM in the entire world. Khunjerab National Park hosts many beautiful, unique animals, from Marco Polo sheep to Markhor to Ibexes and snow leopards.
It is difficult getting to Khunjerab, but whether it goes through the Passu peaks and Passu glacier, Borith Lake, or the Hussaini suspension bridge, all of these places make it worth your while to make this journey.
