You have given a superficial look at the data but you are comparing aircrafts like a novice. Lets have a look see at ur points, in reverse order.

Production indeginously is of course preferable. Especially if u have a war going on. But is it not possible to be strong with imported weapons if u have enough money?

GCAP is a mirage in the future. Who says UK has the money or tech to build a 6th gen fighter?

Ur conclusion that the Rafale cannot beat the F 35 in BVR is short shighted. The Rafale does not have to detect the F 35 first. AWACS or ground stations can do that. And the Metor far out ranges the AIM 120.

And once u so remove the magic googles u r wearing and see that the F 35 is not invincible, ur 50 F 35 don't seem so formidable.

The IAF is about 1700 strong. Fighters are only about 700-750. What do u think the rest are? Do you think the RAF can match the IAF in logistics?

The Indian Air Force has secured the sixth position in the WDMMA Global Air Powers Rankings 2026.
However, the ranking tells a much bigger story. Since four of the top five positions are occupied by separate branches of the United States military, the Indian Air Force effectively emerges as the world's third-ranked independent national air force.

Yeah, like down at least 6 of its fighter fleet in recent clash with Pakistan that had 0 damage of its fighters. And someone's fighters and other planes keep crashing from ths sky every year. Shameless to brag about quality of IAF.

The problem with this ranking is they don’t count the UAV fleet. China has advanced drones of several different types and that alone should put it miles ahead of Indian airforce
