Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Wednesday that the federal government was "seriously" considering the imposition of an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) in response to the worsening security situation in the province.

Political uncertainty has deepened in K-P amid growing tensions between the federal and provincial governments, with the Centre considering governor's rule and emergency as possible options.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament House, Chaudhry stated that the imposition of an emergency was being considered in K-P because of “increasing terrorism" and the provincial government’s lack of "interest" and failure to control the security situation. "The possibility of imposing an emergency under Article 232 of the Constitution is being discussed".

While talking about consultations with the Pakistan Peoples Party on the imposition of emergency in K-P, Chaudhry said the National Assembly speaker would chair a meeting where matters related to legislation would also be discussed.

Where is the FM and his bil Mohsin Naqvi……..the so-called “in-charge” of the security matters ???

Bas threat pe threat, ye kerdainge wo kerdainge

Hota kuch b nahi…..

Why else has all this terrorism been allowed to grow ? To create violence and chaos and then to use that violence and chaos to destroy political parties and civil society. We have seen this movie many times before in KP and Pakistan.

Than shouldn't baluchistan be the first ?

And if security situation is so bad that we have to declare emergency in a province, shouldnt the COAS, DG ISI, and DG FIA, Corp commander KP and DG MI be removed from their posts ?

I am afraid , someone is working on breaking the country ..... check the pattern.....Baluchistan is no go zone now and now KPK. I see the frustration is now boiling ....
Wait a massive energy crisis is building in winter.

During the NAZI rule, whichever SS and other commanders were prominent figures in campaigns against JEWS, the jews recorded their details, their crimes and all these sort of information. And when they got Israel, they started hunting them down and prosecuting them in their courts by bringing them back to israel through kidnappings.

I think it is right time for PTI to start making lists with details of these atrocities. To prosecute them in courts. From personalities as big as SS, Zardari etc to as small as SHOs radding houses in middle of nights, harassing families and kidnapping them from their homes without due legal process.

I think it is right time to start naming them. Otherwise you can not tell your kids in future that we did everything to stop the collapse. Because in truth, we didn't. We couldn't even name those who were splitting our country in pieces.

Its our rulers, not one person but all of them, power hungry people, people who dont want to listen to others and want others to submit and when they refuse they play games, play ethnic nationalists against mullahs, mullahs against politicians, politicians against politicians, allow extremism to spread and then try to use them, when they loose control they point fingers, they try to play big games with world powers but always end up loosing.

A few examples. Bangladesh separation was done by ethnic nationalists, people who didnt use religion as a weapon but ethnicity, our rulers aligned with mullahs to fight ethnic and lost, so then islamisation was started to create allies, they needed funds and GCC provided them, but mullahs are loyal to those who fund them ie GCC and Usa, so got trapped again, the mullahs follow foreign idiologies, then when mullahs were betrayed during Usa Afghan war, our rulers lost control and lost Afghanistan, now new mullahs are being created who are screaming Pakistan Zindabad, they will be used against old assets and political parties and politicians who refuse to submit. In the future if these same mullahs dont get what they want they will betray again and we will be back to square one. Our rulers never bothered to support those who are loyal to Pakistan because they dont want independent minded people, they want assets, people who can be utilised, rulers never promoted the right type of education, to create patriotic Pakistanis. The rulers play big games but in reality are small level players, Usa bombed tribal areas, turned the militants against Pakistan, then left us all the mess, GCC allies funded and brainwashed our children and left us all the mess, but we still go back for more, its slave master relation.

Are they chickening out?

Islamabad has already been attacked twice from KPK residents. It needs to be de-radicalized and de-talibanized and those smuggling networks with the taliban across the border smashed.

How many thousands of foreign fighters and operatives are still in KPK? Fauj needs to complete remit to finish the job that should have been done after zar e azb.

Alongside plummeting education and infrastructure, it requires urgent intervention.

Lets strip them of their illegal money so we can see where this province really stands. With plummeting education and infrastructure, it requires urgent intervention.

KPK government lacks resources to implement NAP. Federal Government is reluctant to take on ad-hoc duties in the western provinces.

All these different governments, including military Administration/governor rule were unable to tackle fundamentalism, extremism, terrorism. Military backed Fazlur Rehman also failed.
