Another hit piece from the Indian media on Bangladesh Army, as part of their smear campaign and sinister agenda to label Bangladesh as a terrorist country. To re-iterate - the Israeli ambassador to India recently made a remark that Hamas is active in Bangladesh and Pakistan. This is part of the Hindutva-Zionist nexus to make Bangladesh a pariah state and have an excuse to invade Bangladesh.

Opening a new thread and allowing discussion on this because this was penned by a former Lt Gen MK Das of the Indian army. He was a former commander of the Madhya Bharat region. Here is the reference -

Growing radicalisation of Bangladesh Army

The threat of growing radicalisation in the Bangladesh Army is real. Indian security forces have to remain vigilant against the growing radicalisation of the Bangladesh Army and its rising nexus with the Pakistan Army.

Let us understand that the threat of growing radicalisation in the Bangladesh Army is real. If any other proof was needed, then it was the visuals of Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman now sporting a bearded look as against his earlier clean-shaven appearance. Indian security forces have to remain vigilant against the growing radicalisation of the Bangladesh Army and its rising nexus with the Pakistan Army.

This smear campaign will continue. This is more of a reason for Bangladesh must take re-armament seriously and build a strong deterrence through an effective military so that no enemy can dare to attack Bangladesh.

But then the so called self proclaimed "nationalists" will claim that "extremists" are trying to wage a war against India.

No. Building effective deterrence for war prevention is not the same as engaging in aggressive war. But it sure does feel like that to these subservient self proclaimed "nationalists" because their loyalties lies anywhere but Bangladesh.

The problem isn't with the Indians, it's with you, Bangladeshi.

How to build an army, how to develop a country... these are your country's internal affairs. Why do you care what others say?

You need to counter hindutva extremists

You need to counter white extremists

You need to counter Zionists

The world is full.of extremism, you are not going to counter it with pussey ass liberalism

You need to embrace fire and brimstone, you need to become the Muslims, these animals will fear

Don't let your enemies GAS LIGHT you into being a pussey

Apart from these articles, what exactly is India doing to counter these developments? Is it pursuing coups within the Bangladeshi Army? Or does it plan to reinstall Hasina through engineering manoeuvres?

Nothing would be the correct answer

We are just trying to fence the border mostly

Usually this type of media hype go hand in hand with concrete actions. India maybe in early stages of orchestrating a counter revolution in Bangladesh.

Bullseye! You are correct my friend. Bd policy makers are bunch of wuss. They lack the currage and vision needed to make bold and strategic decisions. I don't like their cowardice attitude.

Apart from militarising Chicken's Neck not much. That stretch of land was long touted to be India's weak link, so the recent developments gave a chance to the Centre to fast track new garrisons and additional routes in the area.

That area is quite militarised and the demographic changes may require some additional military logistics but this wave after wave of intentionally targeting the BD army points at something more mature and grand in nature.

The question really is how far is India willing to let BD go out of her sphere of influence.

Shall we expect communal riots in BD soon?

On a personal level, if you are criticized, ridiculed, mocked, or hostile towards someone at a higher level, it indicates that you are on the right track and that you pose a real threat to them.

On a national level, if your country is criticized, ridiculed, mocked, or hostile towards a more powerful nation, or even faces sanctions or military threats, it means your country is developing on the right path because it poses a threat to them.

Conversely, if a major power consistently shows you goodwill, it means you have no ability to pose any threat to them. Militarily, if a major power tries to sell you advanced weapons, it means you have no ability to threaten that major power.

Only when you possess sufficient strength can you "reap" threats and sanctions from powerful nations. If they don't threaten or sanction you, it's not because they are merciful, but because you have no ability to threaten them.

These views may differ from many opinions on this forum.

Only the national planners would be able to answer that question. Anyways the flow would be more clear in the next year or two. Maldives with it's India out campaign transitioned to something opposite shortly. What it lead to was people in military fatigues being replaced by people without fatigues.

This is the time of geopolitical reset worldwide.

Please do not talk about the world. India has proven that it does not care for global geopolitics and is happy being isolated from all global schemes willingly. Be it conflicts in Middle East, Europe or South East Asia.

Patriotic Bangladeshis don't.

But a certain segment in Bangladesh do. They would rather be submissive than angering India through re-armament.

Guys none of this is surprising.

The simple answer is Bangladesh has to develop an action plan to address this in every domain.

I doubt India would ever "invade".

But they no doubt subvert and manipulate. (Honestly, it's no blame on them because it suits their interests)

Basically I agree it's Bangladesh's fault.

They need to grow some balls and abandon this friendship to all malice to none stupidity.
