You will likely find most mass shooters have some form of mental issue.

So here's what I know looking from the photo obtained from Daily Mail:

1. military style boots.
2. a later photo shows a helmet; appears to be western pattern similar to ACH / MICH
3. hard to tell the uniform if Polish issue or what
4. the rifle is standard AR-style . 30-rd magazine, M-Lok style handguard, most likely a 16-inch barrel
5. Optic is some form of LPVO with a adjustable brightness for the sighting ring. I can tell that by the knob on the left side (facing up in this photo) of the optic.

BTW, in this photo, the person in the foreground in the blue BDUs and and abdomen showing is the police officer who is currently fighting for his life. In the update, this image is still shown however the officer is pixelated out.

If that's the same guy described in other reports, he apparently exchanged fire with the attacker, injuring and subduing him, before slumping over himself from his injuries.
