There are 2 billion Muslims. Pakistanis/Bangladeshis/Indonesians/Nigerians alone add up to 900 million.

H1b visa applications have no country-specific caps, which would typically compensate for differing application volume.

Because of this, India consistently has more than 70% of all H1b visas.

Anyone with a sponsor can apply for h1b visas

A job (or visa) market flooded with applications from workers from a single country will statistically see most of those visas or jobs given to those applicants, even though they have no particular talent beyond either domestic applicants or applicants from other countries. Moreover, those applicants from India, while having no specific super powers beyond other applicants, are willing to work without additional demands and hence easily undercut local competitors who would rather not sleep 6 to a bunk.

It does not explain how all the $1 million plus homes in Silicon Valley are purchased by Indian engineers

The competitive edge for Indian IT diaspora is based on (a) overwhelming volume and (b) simple undercutting of established standards.

Well, Trump isn't buying Hindutva BS anymore. It is going to be fine for certain nations. India isn't among them. There is genuine concern and uprising against Indian expats living inside the US. From stealing jobs to scamming American people. The Indians are on a rampage. Similar sentiment exists in neighbouring country Canada where Indians have taken over.

Trump won't bow down to Modi or India. Besides, you Indians have switched sides and made a choice. Do you know how bad it will look if you tried to make another U-turn by sucking up to Trump again?

Indians lives in US but mentally and ethically still following and promoting Indian culture in work places. But they are good people to work with...my personal experience.

These Indians are mostly high caste Brahmins. They get promoted and are prepared in advance to make a career in the US. It is basically a factory for cheap and below par workers that is trying to overtake US tech industry with brute force.
