H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

@Meengla sb,

if today's Pakistan even stands it was due to the smart policies from 1947 into the 70s, especially during the great Ayub Khan decade.

True, he was the original Vikas Purush of the subcontinent.

Regards

Then it is just as well that you don't because your corporation would have gone out of business pretty quickly - sinking both your capital and the lives of those who depended on you.

Well no, and this just shows your naivety and lack of experience in this domain. Having travelled extensively in the Nordic region, nations such as Denmark and Norway have a native workforce of between 80-90%, the rest are EU nationals and international workers. They are among the most productive nations on earth. Other nations nearby such as the Netherlands, Luxemburg all have similar figures and incredible rates of productivity.
Their capital hasn't sunk.
Now how about you press your government to try to find jobs for millions of millions of Indians who are desperate to go abroad to AUS, CAN, US, UK, Singapore, EU and so on.

"It is the economy, stupid!". A famous quote from the early 90s elections in America comes to my mind. But Pakistanis are Pakistanis: Stuck in blaming Ayub Khan for the loss of the non-existent 'democracy' of the 50s, for the loss of the then East Pakistan, which was invitable from the beginning.
They don't realize that it is the economy which is the primary engine for growth--not some Amir ul Mominoon Nawaz Sharif, not some Riyasat e Medina Imran Khan, not some Nizam e Mustafa Zia ul Haq, not some Jeffersonian democracy like Benazir Bhutto like BSs they have been fed with.

The Indian members of the PDF were laughing at me not so long ago for posting this. I was going to be proven incorrect.
When a guard dog growls at a family member of its master, the owner either disciplines the hell out of that dog or puts it down.

The Brahmins misunderstood their assignment and made a great mistake by targetting and killing citizens/residents of the AngloSaxon countries INSIDE the countries.

The Brahmins might be vicious, but the AngloSaxons never forgive and never ever forgot because that is the biggest sin in their book.

The Brahmins will be reminded of their true place before this is over.

1. It was discussed on this forum that the numbers of Indian International students as well as foriegn worker visas for them would be drastically reduced.

That happened in Quebec, Canada almost immdediately after the govt doubled the tuition fees overnight.

All of a sudden there was a focus on foreign worker issue and Indians were the main highlight.

In the past a traffic accident would have not made into a local newspaper but due to the times we are in, a highway accident involving and Indian-origin driver has become the main breaking news in the USA and is still domonating the news cycle.

The question is: Why?

c'm sir @Waz

India is the oldest civilization with the best human resource on the planet!

the scale and immensity of talents is unknown to ordinary working brain.

who are we to ponder upon issues of magnitude?!!!

@Meengla sb

You were lucky in having Ayub at a nascent stage in your country. We were saddled with the fraudia Chacha and his worthless clan till 1990. It was only in 1991 with a first-rate crisis and a better calibre PM in Narasimha Rao that IND started climbing out of a hell hole that it was in.

In other words what he is trying to say is that Western firms would die a death without Indian labour...

Oh, yes, I know it all too well except most Pakistanis are too stupid to realize how great the Ayub Khan era was to Pakistan!!!!

Indian civilization is 78 years old. It started when Nehru conquered princely states and divided the land among peasants. By Indira Gandhis rule, the imposition of the Indian identity on the conquered people matured far enough to be exported to neighbours. Inevitable resistance followed which is now being subdued through promise of economic growth and human development. The 3rd generation Indians are a massive conundrum onto themselves as they attempt to make sense of the absurdity of their position.

A war with Pakistan remains the only viable option for the survival of this civilization.

Old man rants have their own thread. Go sulk over there

yes!

not only die, soon West will beg for the Indian talent!

apparently Indian talent is so great, does not want to work in their own country!

so great and so unexplored, we could need 3 more planets to accommodate Indian desires of capturing other countries!

Nehru was wise, but Mount Batten was wiser!

Nehru could have achieved more, he was the thinker, India needed, after his death!

RSS and BJP, indian socio-cultural jewels!

The following news article, of which excerpts I have pulled out, may interest you!

On June 30, 2025, the Danish government launched immigration reform proposal aimed at expanding access to work permits for nationals of 16 non-EU countries. The initiative is designed to address labor shortages and attract global talent by lowering salary thresholds and simplifying permit requirements.

The revised salary threshold will apply to nationals from the following 16 non-EU countries:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • India
  • China
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • Brazil
  • Malaysia
  • Ukraine
  • Moldova
  • Albania
  • North Macedonia
  • Serbia
  • Montenegro

You would no doubt note the countries which are missing from the list!

@Watandar sb,

My dear friend, Professor sb had posted this a couple of years back. As you can see, there are 721 K Indians, 100K Vietnamese and 64K Philipinos in the IT industry in USA. Adjusted for the population Indians are NOT overpresented in the IT sector.

Regards
Come visit the IT departments of US companies and then I dare you to repeat your claim that Indians are not over represented.
