H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

US/West invested a lot in Indian workers with full understanding with the INdian Govt that in return India will act as a West's base to destabalized China, fight with China and so forth. So when the time came, India refused to do anything of this because China molested them in the North, and then recently Pakistan bend these indians over and destroyed their airfoce like flies.
US has seen enough, and they know that they chose the wrong country. All these steps by the US recently is a final warning to India to behave like a little slave and attak China, or the West will destroy its economy and send the indians back.
Honestly, you have such an exaggerated sense of India's importance that you think every event in the world revolves around India. The H1-B related proclamation, and the subsequent TACO, is almost exclusively a domestic political issue and has very little geopolitical implications, at least as far as the person making the decision is concerned .

Well - if a job can be done in India, then it would have already been shipped over. Not all jobs can be shipped over, there is the need for physical proximity to the business and users by location and timezone, regulatory constraints for certain functions and roles etc, which were being exploited by H1Bs scheme. I don't see a big uptick of relocating of jobs to India arising from this change.

You make it expensive, businesses will find the tradeoff ok to ship many more jobs over, tons of GCC opening up just proves that

@A1Kaid

Even in the Indian marriage market having an H1B visa is a status symbol.

No problems. Prospective grooms will have to mark down their asking rates and be done with it.

Regards

Actually, if you listened to the rhetoric during the signing, it would mean less foreigners being allowed in speciality occupations by making them very expensive to hire. Basic economics dictates that this would lead to more offshoring, not less, because it would be a lot cheaper to hire the same employee in Canada, UK or India.
Why don't you listen to the following and tell me what bit encourages the continuation of the offshore model?

Once upon a time these offshore guys had to be spoonfed and taught the jobs which replaced American workers.

You heard above this will no longer happen. That's the directional movement, cut out all the offshoring, find opportunities for young American graduates who deserve the American dream first

I've watched a few Western analyst today on this topic. One analyst from the US said "Trump dropped a tactical nuke on Indian economy" in terms of H1B's. It is expected that plus minus a few billions, initially $ 50 billion dollars direct FDI will be lost. Point to note is that this year, already 96% FDI had dropped.

Trump may have stop his verbal assault on India every two days, but behind the scenes, they are pissed. India was suppose to fight China, all that money in trillions and American jobs were given for a reason. Not just to strengthen India. So the US feels used and abused.

No other visa tiers can be used to compensate for H1B loss. F1 or any other visa category will become near impossible to convert.

What will happen now, is what has already started to happen in the US. Indians are taking risks and giving their documentation to other Indians to take jobs who have lost H1B, etc. This is a serious crime but I foresee Indians expanding this crime and at some point this will come on radar also as to how 1 Indian person has 2/3 different jobs.

Even in H1B process, fake degrees, fake people, fake interviews were being conducted. Ram has an interview, Sham shows up for it on online interview. With skin tone and features, Americans can barely tell the difference. Additionally, Ram getting the visa has expertise in business but wants to go to the US. So Sham was paid to do the interview. The fraud was just too massive.

Sadly, India's misuse of world's immigration system has woken up every nation From China, USA to UK, Europe and Middle East, every nation has started to protect itself from Indian invasion of it's employment market with brute force tactics and eventually bribing and creating influencing all the way through government systems like seen in the case of UK, USA and Canada especially.

The tweet you copied literally literally says "some jobs will be off-shored".

He may have time, but he has no power to make the changes he wants to. The rollback was not a diplomatic overture to India, but a face-saving move to avoid humiliating defeats in US courts.
Why are you so dumb and desperate at the same time ?

You really think current valid HIB visa holders visa will remain valid for like for ever ? What for those whose visa got extended say two years back and set to expire by the end of this year ? Time for their bag packing. You will see lots of Indians returning back in the next few months.

Looks like you missed the memo. The Trump admin has already TACO ed on this. Try some other copium.

It also said

One of the most abused visa systems

Actually check they are highly skilled

Those sentences alone collapse the entire narrative from the Indian perspective

It's not as if Indians will not have a heavy presense for the medium term
