H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

The Pakistani establishment also seems to be inclined to such an arrangement; loon tough against India on the outside, but internally return to “normal”.

India would be buying itself time to build up its economy. I hope the Pakistani establishment takes this time to not only build up its military canaries but finally get that FDI it has long claimed it is able to attract.

Pakistani establishment doesn't mind peace obviously. But from a doctrine perspective, it has declared India and Israel a "forever enemy". So whether they are at peace, doing trade, etc, Pakistan will now always be expecting certain events and be ready for an immediate response, for example, if Modi fixes his money and job issues with Trump and all of a sudden needs to look tough by creating some situation for Pakistan like May, there will be a response ready.

You have a couple of nations in the world with Hitler like leaders and no respect for international law. So you have to be ready to respond in kind.

Poison kills poison!

Hahaha I have missed reading these replies from you.
lol

I think a desperate need for Burnol.
Some Indians actually thought they were special and would have special treatment. Trump is a complete nut job and really doesnt care........

Won't have to post if you were doing your "job".
If warts like you would post on topic and not pollute the forum - the "job" would be significantly better. Now shush before you have to go through the polava of masking your IP and launching a new ID.

Somehow these geniuses think they'll "challenge" this H1B decision in the court and win it :ROFLMAO: because they pay a part of the US media. The above post shows what comes directly under the US president's powers. Unchallenged! When he or she sees a threat to the national security, he issues orders and policy changes. No courts will issue a judgement on that. It's part of the constitutional powers given to a president to do his basic job.

When you rob a nation for billions of dollars a month that would otherwise be going to the local citizens, the national security implications will kick in immediately. Which nation allows export of critical capital worth billions of dollars monthly? It's estimated to be near $ 100 billion cash legally and illegally sent to India annually.

The Secretary of Homeland Security shall initiate a rulemaking to prioritize the admission as nonimmigrants of high-skilled and high-paid aliens, consistent with sections 101, 212, and 214 of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1101, 1182, and 1184.

High paid aliens. Imaginative.

Right.
It is not the challenges in the courts; Trump is getting away with a lot with just his Executive Orders and some of them are certainly of dubious legal basis. But he is following some strategy like swamping his opponents with too many to deal with; for an old guy, he has a lot of energy!!
Regardless of the legal basis of the EO on the H1Bs, he may make a legally defendable case to bump up the H1B visa fees to astronomical levels over the existing ones. Don't we see regular visa fees and other immigration related fees going up all the time? So why should the H1b be exempted from a mere fee hike?? He is not scrapping the H1B program--it is the new proposed $100,000 fees which is the main issue here (for Indians!).

Speaking of H1b fees, some are saying this just another manifestation of Trump applying maximum pressure to milk India for some concessions and eventually the H1b fees maybe reduced to something like $15,000 per visa.

My post above was a reference to his executive powers. If he is doing it for the American public, knowing his MAGA history, then H1B fees can go further up, not down. If he's sincere in generating American employment at large scale. If he's wanting something from India, we would've known about it know. If he thinks he'll force India to be with the US and say good bye to Russia and China, I think that's impossible for India to do. But who knows, the amount of money they make from America is 100 times more than Russia and China, their almost entire economy has been running on America. May be they will sell Russia off. China isn't really their friend at the end.

Pakistan have never declared Israel a enemy. India is our enemy till they stop their designs of ethnic cleansing in IoK and reach political solution to dispute.

The moment Saudi Arabia accept Israel, we will follow.

The fee simply calls the bluffs of delusional people who say these people are skilled and vetted. (Indian narrative)

In fact they are probably barely tested for the roles.

And therefore they know that if companies really really have to identify the top talent then the hiring will drop enormously.

It's a kill shot to the longevity of the system, people will eventually drop off from the scheme.

It's a more prudent action wrapped up in a hyped up executive order, there is a method to trump's actions. And this is the reality which is slowly setting in within India.

The flip side is that the American workforce needs to seize the moment otherwise have no doubt that Indians will not let this go if they sniff a chance back in

@hydrabadi_arab

Hydra bro,

The point was that India “strategic” relations with USA has been huge boon for south India since 80’s

Why only South India? Did USA say only South India should send H1Bs?

Why don't you again enter into strategic relations with USA? You already had one till 2008, no?

Regards

Pakistan strategic relations were limited to military. Didn't ask to take millions of people or billions $ investment. Our generals were happy with some rent.

Apart from greater Delhi area which includes parts of Haryana/west UP dependent on services money rest of ganges will not see much affect. Must of industry and service sector boon post 90's partnership with USA happened in south India

Poor people of bimaru states were left to live in abject poverty, forced to work in now richer IT states. Instead of going abroad to earn much more, they were forced with $50/month income like slave labour. Farmers of north must be protected at all costs and hopefully Modi doesn't bow down to Trump.
