H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

Okay, so the 'job offer' I got a few days ago and mentioned above, is almost certainly a scam. @Ali_Baba : I had not accepted that offer. It was quite an elaborate scam which would have fooled many into disclosing sensitive personal and/or financial information and words like 'kindly' in their email sort of gave away as yet another Indian scammer!!!
I am going to expose them to the authorities!!

Thank you.
It was certainly a well crafted scam, preying on the vulnerable. Thank God, I am prepared to be unemployed into at least early 2026 and so I could afford to scrutinize.

@AZ_HighCountry

AZ Saar,

I was a candidate for a position that would have required relocation to SEA. Told them I wasn't interested.

After you rejected the offer, it is possible that some Indian immigrant might have taken up the offer. In that case can you stay that the headbobbing HIndu H1B immigrant stole the job?

That's how it works. Migrants from poorer countries have fire in their belly and will take up assignments that people from wealthier countries will not take up- at least not at the same price point.

Regards

Isn't positive discrimination illegal in the UK?
I'm referrng to specific programmes aimed at foreign nationals, not hiring on the basis of "race" either explicitly or implicitly. UK has often done this in time of specific labour shortages.

E.g. West Indian nurses, then Filipino nurses, South Asian textile workers.

@r3alist

actual high skilled people from Europe, Japan, Canada to use the H1B visa as it was initially intended.

Are highly skilled people from these countries dying to come to USA? Will they be available at the same price point as HiBs from IND, PRC etc?

Regards

@r3alist bro

Ron Hira is an Indian immigrant himself, no? He should be ashamed of himself.
