HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

To me it looks like the Tejas design itself has significant flaws. It seems it does not have canards that makes it very difficult to fly at sub sonic speeds, it’s fly by wire system is meh 🫤 why did it not recover when the pilot took it into a sustained negative g turn and lost control, the full right rudder that the pilot applied when he started departing created a honka air break ….. finally it’s too small for a bigger enseigne and will be plagued by an under powered engine!

The Tejas mark 2 seems to address all these issues why not spend money on building it instead ?

i think first ever in the world of product development where ver 2 is worked on and will be released before ver 1

A bit delayed from the timeline I had predicted but that's Indian MIC for you
Still good going 😁

What does it mean by "final couplings"?

Then how can it be "under ground tests" if the arframe isn't even complete yet?
Probably testing multiple LRUs, coupling/de-coupling. HAL CMD had mentioned something related to in his convo with Vishnu Som on NDTV.

Tejas is the perfect example of the phrase, "that if you don't at first succeed, try, try and try again .."

To be fair, India will eventually get there, at Indian speed of course.
