The Tejas MK1A is the answer to the declining squadron strength of the IAF, much like the MiG-21 was in the past. The IAF operated over 800 MiG-21 fighter jets. Just as the MiG-21 served as the workhorse and backbone of the IAF, the Tejas is expected to fill this role and continue to serve for the next 60 years in various blocks, similar to how the F-16 has served the USAF for the past 50 years. any Pakistani fighter jet approaching India will likely encounter the Tejas first, as it is being deployed at the Pakistan border in the same hardened shelters that previously housed the MiG-21.We didn’t heard « agar tejas hotay… »
