HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

You said PSUs do not do much PR, I made my point that they are masters of spin over substance, the Tejas project os the ultimate example of that. i posted links that proved you wrong.

So now what is the point of your posts after this other then some lame attempt to save face?

I do not even think you yourself know the answer to that
I said lack of PR about under development systems and mentioned they showcase it either in expos or in their presentations later. PR means releasing pics/videos of them building their projects regularly. Media bytes are not PR, especially for existing products and their links mean nothing. PSUs are run by boomers.

Here's what PR done by private sector means.

So interviews and presentation conferences are not PR?

You know jackshit about marketing it seems.

I'm certain the Americans are delaying turbine deliveries on purpose. I don't see any reason for delays. Indian authorities should've factored this when asking for American turbines for Tejas. Every delay is hurting the project and ACM Amar preet's frustration is understandable.

There's no time for the IAF to take half measures with Fishbeds gone. Quite unfortunate IMO. Mk1A should've made it into the IAF ranks five years ago if not more.
The next confrontation between PAF and IAF is literally just around the corner but I don't see Tejas making into that either. IAF might not risk it in a dense EW/ Cyber intensive theatre at this point.

Americans/ GE have not delayed any deliveries one bit.

Indian babus sat on their ass and delayed all kinds of things. And now trying to make it look like the americans did it.

I thought HAL were just making single seat MK1As, they have still to deliver the backlog of two seater MK1s, which makes me think that is a MK1 and not a MK1A
Atleast don't be so confident when saying such bullshit
This LCA has a tail number of LT 5209 meaning 8 Mk 1 trainers are complete and this is the 1st of 10 Mk1A trainer

LT 5208 the last Mk1 trainer took first flight in January

Calm down, I understand you like many are agitated about this project, and cope is hard on top of everything else you are going through recently.

I am correct in that not all two seater MK1 trainers have have been delivered right?

oh come on now thats bullshit,
How come the orderbook ballooned to 40, early order was for just 20 ELM 2052,

Even those 20 orders were hard to justify but made some sense as they were ordered as a precautionary measure but those additional orders are just pure criminal and most of the possible excuses are pure bullshit
One excuse (that even I used to believe was true) was Oh UTTAM was supposed to be GaAs but now we have upgraded tech so it will now be GaN based and those foundries are being setup only now and will take time, thats why additional ELM 2052 as stop gap
but Aero India 2025 posters confirm uttam for Tejas MK1A is GaAs not GaN and we have had GaAs foundries for over 10 years now

So the only possible reasons now are - either Uttam is not ready yet or something fishy is going on
And now we have latest round of bullshit
All 83 Mk1A will have EL/M 2052 Radar instead of the original 40 (which by the way was only 20 in the beginning)

Oh you don't need to worry about me I have already made peace with the failures of this project,
You are the one hung up about it and act like a chipmunk everytime any new developments about Tejas are posted

What part of "LT 5208 the last Mk1 trainer took first flight in January" did you not understand.

They are not delivered to the IAF because their engines are being reused for flight testing new Mk1A
