Hangor Class Submarine | Updates & Discussion

I believe the Type U-214 German Boats deal was accepted by the German Government and the deal was 99% completed? The U-boat 214 was best you can buy then. It all fell through?
Fell through due to financial issues

It just follows a ballsitic path.....Our ballistic missile program is far advanced then any strategic/ballistic missile turkiye can provide.
Turkey's military surely knows what is a hypersonic ballistic missile better than you or me.. ..

pls show us official Turkish military spokesperson/media saying it was hypersonic . at most they say its hypersonic ballistic missile , most ballistic missiles are hypersonic specially the long ranged ones

this is in no way bad , its great turkey is doing this they are way ahead of us in a lot of things but not in ballistic missile tech

Totally agree with your post. Shaheen 3 it self is beyond mach 18 in ballistic path. the design itself doesn't support HGV. Turkey are behind Pakistan in this tech.

Once the Chinese have the Type 095 in full rate production and the technology from the Type 093B is considered old for them, that Sub class and its reactor tech will probably be up for offer in a follow on class. Either the Type 093B or a smaller reactor version cleared for export.
The Type 09X series submarines are strategic-level weapon systems. Even outdated versions will not be permitted for export. At least not for the next few decades.
Maybe a 100 MW reactor fitted inside a version of the Type 039C.
The Type 039C submarines remain conventionally powered; they are not nuclear-powered.

Some analysts believe the Type 039C uses fuel cell technology instead of Stirling engine technology. However, there is currently no reliable evidence.

The rumored small nuclear-powered submarine is the Type 041. It is a nuclear-powered variant based on the Type 039 series conventional submarines. Besides the change in power, the submarine itself has been lengthened to accommodate a VLS. Currently, images have surfaced, but there has been no official announcement. ------ The code "Type 041" has not yet been officially released; it's a non-official code. The official code might be this, but it could also use the 039 series code, such as 039D... but it definitely won't use 039C.

The typical appearance feature of Type 039C is its "mushroom-shaped" conning tower and "+"-shaped stern rudder, which makes it highly recognizable.

If China were to export nuclear-powered submarines to foreign countries in the future, the Type 041 submarine would be the best option.

Fell through due to "financial issues" You do realize that Pakistan paid more for these Chinese subs then what they would have been paying for those U-214s?

That is what I expect as well; the Type 039D/041 as an export SSN/SSBN option to Pakistan, and even then probably in a few years time.

...... in a few years time.
That's impossible. It will take at least 10-20 years.

The Type 041 submarine is China's first small nuclear-powered submarine. Its small nuclear power plant requires a long period of testing (military maturity verification is far more rigorous than that of civilian products).

China itself has not yet officially commissioned this type of submarine. It is still in the testing phase.

Only after it has been in service with the PLA Navy for a considerable period and has undergone maturity verification can it be exported. ------ Submarines are inherently high-risk weapon systems, and nuclear submarines have an even higher risk index. The Pakistani Navy would not want to become a testing ground.

After that, it will require lengthy procurement negotiations and customized production.

I believe that if the Pakistani Navy is truly interested in purchasing it, it will take approximately 15-20 years before it actually enters the Pakistani Navy's arsenal.
But... given Pakistan's current economic situation and development trend, it is unlikely that it will have enough funds to own this submarine.

You’re right that Chinese military products seem to have a 20 year development cycle if one does a retrospective analysis of when projects began. But, considering this project has been talked about and the PLAN has experience with the reactors on the Type 093B, as well as the reactors underdevelopment for the Type 095, it likely there is a small reactor currently at an advanced stage of development.

Once considered mature enough, its mating in a Type 041 could happen at any time this decade, and by the mid 2030s be mature enough to start producing en mass.

The PN could probably come in the late 2030s, with a deal, and have construction go by the end of the 2030s if not early 2040s.

You’re right, the PN would decently not want to be the proving grounds.

I think China has enough domestic demand for coastal smaller SSNs, especially to replace all its non type 039 subs, starting in the 2030s, that this project will move aggressively; I think China is further along in the program than is publicly known.

If any country needs nuclear submarine. They must have their own design. Its not easy to procure or afford let alone be sold with old tech.

Pakistan shipyard apart from aircraft carrier can make any ship that was statement of Naval chief at least decade ago.

Make ur own nuclear submarine whether it takes 10 years more or not.
