Martin Jacques is a Marxist of note, so it's no surprise he's pro-China. He's just one of many Marxists who have twisted themselves into an ideological pretzel in order to reconcile what China has become -- a "socialist market economy". In essence, China has only progressed because it has embraced capitalism.
