IMF: Japan to fall to 6th in 2027 global GDP rankings

okay so are you saying 5.00 is the new 4.00? Where is the 4 here in this "fair model"...hey and where is the IMF mentioned in this model?

you know the "4" and "IMF" part you wrote:

In May 2025, the CNY-to-dollar exchange rate was 7.35. The current exchange rate is 6.67. The CNY has appreciated by more than 10%. Is it true that the CNY is appreciating faster than U.S. interest rates?

Your AI says that the CNY’s appreciation will destroy China’s exports, but while the CNY is appreciating rapidly, China’s trade surplus was $1,188.9 billion in 2025 and continued to expand in 2026, In May, June, July, August, and September of 2026, the trade surplus reached record highs for five consecutive months: $104.9 billion, $112.2 billion, $118.7 billion, $125.5 billion, and $133.5 billion, respectively. The trade surplus for 2026 is projected to reach $1.3 trillion. Is this true?

Ask your AI: Is there a single statement I’ve made that isn’t true?

Is this you explaining your 4 USD screwup to me somehow?

If not...then why are you replying to my post?

The $4 was a mistake in my memory of the website I read; the actual figure is 5. I am currently replying to your point about "Appreciation ruins exports". The reality is that appreciation leads to an increased trade surplus.

You misunderstood his meaning. He said that in the future, Japan can only support a population of 30 million.

In the past, Japan's industry had four pillars: automobiles, shipbuilding, machinery, and home appliances. Now we have taken away the shipbuilding, machinery, and home appliance industries, and are destroying Japan's last industrial pillar, the automotive industry. When Japan lost all its export industries, it could only feed 30 million people.

Japan is a country with very scarce natural resources. So Japan does not lack a population. Japanese people are very clear about their future, so they reject immigrants.

Japan may reject immigrants in principle, but never migrant workers in practice.
Anyway, here's an interesting fact: Currently, about 80% - 90% of Vietnamese blue-collar workers in Japan come from the North Central Coast and the outskirts of the Red River Delta. Japan has recently expanded its recruitment southward to attract more workers from Southern Vietnam, but it has largely only been able to draw people from the Mekong Delta and the poorer areas of the Southeast, namely Tây Ninh. As someone who has lived in Saigon, the Central Highlands, and the South in general for over 30 years, I can say people from Tây Ninh are not exactly renowned for their behavior, mindset, and manners. Vietnam is also approaching the end of its run as a source of cheap migrant labor for Japan.

Vietnam is a member of the Confucian cultural sphere, and neither Japan nor South Korea will refuse Vietnamese immigrants. But Japanese and Koreans dislike Indian immigrants.

Japan may have migrant labor to do tasks like age care and blue collar work but they will never give them citizenship to stay

Correct. And I'm not entirely against their approach to migrant workers, especially blue-collar workers. But this program has always been built to exploit people and disregard their basic rights and decency.
