GST cuts has lead to little tax growth. Now direct tax cuts will reduce government revenue further. Hopefully consumption has picked the pace. 2026 is going to be tough year. Hopefully backed by tough reforms.

P.S: OLA makes their own Lithium battery (since 2022). Now they have started using them in their newer electric scooters. Thank god for younger breed of industrialists.

Some kids are excited about no Indian company able to make Lithium ION batteries. They are quoting this due to Reliance Industries decision to drop the plan to make battery storage plan.
In hurry to find something wrong with India, these idiots didn’t even check that the technology in question is Lithium IRON Phosphate batteries and not Lithium ION batteries. What to do with such idiots?

They obviously didn’t bother to check that there are large number of companies that make Lithium ION batteries. The IRON Phosphate version is much more advanced and Reliance was trying to get hold of this tech from a Chinese Company. And this was not being done through some back channel but through proper talks and like any other business deal.

Moreover, Reliance hasn’t dropped the plan. They have faced a setback due to Chinese company backing off from the deal. Reliance will take some other route to make the battery storage unit.

They love congressis for a reason, their screeching gives them orgasmic pleasure, no wonder even when they post crap like bullet train being 11 years late even when construction started only in mid-2021 and other such doom-gloom, they believe it wholesale. BEML will soon roll-out India's own design and developed bullet train with 280kmph max speed, while they themselves literally can't even make a spoon from scratch using indigenous materials.

Anyways

Textile is low hanging fruit. Pity, we have done so poorly.

You mean refusing to hand hold India on its way.
At some point need to see the fruits of this continent sized population show it's skills in latest tech.

Reliance was obviously trying to shorten the route to the tech by negotiating with a Chinese company. It didn’t work out due to latest rules made by Beijing in this regard.

I do agree that own research in this regard would have been better.

Is it end of the road? I guess not.

Which is a longer way of saying, they needed Chinese help.

That being said, I do think eventually china will end up investing more in India, opportunity is opening

@r3alist bro

That is absolutely correct. And no sympathies for Reliance or Mukeshbhai. The buggers have a market cap of over USD 200 billion and don't have the gumption to either develop a cell tech/line on their own or buy out a start up in Europe which can take them there.

Remember the discussion we had the other day. No one is going to hand over tech to you out of what you call "strategic altruism". You either develop, buy or steal. Like your taller than mountain friend.

Regards

I have no doubts about Chinese superiority in multiple fields. We have a lot of catchup to do.

Indian government and non-fanboys know this very well. That’s why India has not stopped trade with China. It has been a calibration, that too a very small one.
