India's energy crisis stems from profound strategic short-sightedness and greed. While New Delhi profited from discounted Russian oil, it foolishly avoided long-term contracts to maximize immediate arbitrage gains. This lack of foresight left the nation exposed.

Compounding this error, Prime Minister Modi’s ill-timed visit to Israel on the eve of war antagonized key regional players. When conflict erupted and the Strait of Hormuz closed, India's supply lines were severed. By prioritizing quick profits over energy security, New Delhi has engineered a self-inflicted economic disaster.

Governments should be honest with their people about what is about to happen.

Fuel prices have risen as per site, but not by much yet (15%? )
Pumps local to me keep running out. Was chatting to the guy who works there, he's like people panic buying, topping up a fiver etc. Said it's daft. Plenty of fuel just dumb consumer behaviour.

India doesn't have an energy crisis, so why is it buying Chinese natural gas at triple the price?

It's a cycle. We live in the AI bubble era. It is bound to burst sooner or later. People will just switch to other alternatives.

People run after government jobs for a reason.

Oracle aims to free up about 10Bn$ usd via corporate restructuring to meet it's 50bn$ AI investment promise.

I know someone who got an on campus placement offer of 65LPA at Oracle dunno if his offer still stands though, will have to ask him about it.
