The Tata group, with a brand value of $28.6 billion, has retained its title as India’s most valuable brand – according to a new report from Brand Finance, the world's leading brand valuation consultancy.
According to the report, the group’s brand value highlights the first time an Indian brand is close to the $30 billion brand value mark, reflecting the prevailing optimism in the Indian economy.
Several Tata group companies have also sustained and grown their brand leadership, according to the report:
- The hotel brand Taj ranked as India’s Strongest Brand for the fourth consecutive year, and as the number one Most Valuable Indian Hotel brand
- TCS ranked as the #1 Most Valuable Indian IT Services brand
- Tata Steel ranked as the #1 Most Valuable Indian Mining, Metals and Minerals brand
- Tata Motors ranked as #5 Most Valuable Indian Automobile brand
- Voltas ranked 9th among the top 10 strongest Indian brands and as #4 Most Valuable Indian Engineering brand
- Tata Projects ranked as #5 Most Valuable Indian Engineering Brand
- Tata AIA Life Insurance ranked as the #4 Most Valuable Indian Insurance Brand
