aspiring to conduct a Mega programme is wrong as we have already conducted Commonwealth & Asian Games.

though I don't think Olympics will be good for India but aspiration to build world class facilities will always help sportsman's future. Their will be more investments & interests from public & private, which will help development of Indian sports industries.

Indian needs to elevate itself from "wanchit sochit" politics and build livable cities first. Olympics lol..Just mega embarrassment. If French were humiliated, imagine India!

out of applied countries Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Hungary, Indonesia, India and Qatar, only SA & Qatar has the capacity to flush out $$ bills and influence SA welds in and around the world means SA will eventually trump over Qatar.

Saudi Arabia has already presented its Vision 2030 for diversifying investments and sports is one of the main areas of interest and as everyone aware SA is investing heavily on Football clubs is also the sole bidder for the 2034 FIFA World Cup and SA is also investing in IPL & 100 League they are building stadiums for conducting their own Cricket Premier League. So Olympics in 2036 will be a walk over for SA.

Indian economy in 2036 will surely be where Chinese economy was in 2008.

In inflation adjusted dollars, in 2008, China was 6.24 trillion dollars.
India right now is 3.2 trillion dollars (in 2023).

India grew from 1.6 trillion dollars (in 2011) to 3.2 trillion dollars (in 2023).

India will surely be at aleast 6.4 trillion dollars (inflation adjusted) in 2036, ie 13 years from 2023.

So yeah, like China, India can and should host olympic.

the only reason why I am hopeful of SA to take Olympics is purely due to SA's ability to fund new sports stadiums, complexes & build extravaganza real estates and market it compared to others.

SA is conservative but I think they will allow free will at places they will designate.
