India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

What ugly truth!

This is just a nice drama - good for fun! Even those people know it.

And really I like it. That's too funny 😂
What Drama? The one you’re trying to laugh away. Mock funerals aren’t fun they’re extremist theatrics that show how toxic your society has become. If you find hate entertaining, that says more about India’s reality than you realize.

Jhunjhunu

See, most indians never trust on American, because we have seen the situations with Pakistan.

Indians never wants to go thru the same kind of situation.

That's the reason - even after 25 years for working relationship, india hesitate to buy fighter jets from USA. Now, will not chance for it.

But still USA is one of the most important country for trade, economy and businesses - indians will always want to have good relationship on that perspective parts

Pakistan is a small country with a negligible economy. She has limited capacity to deter what most Pakistanis and their government consider the sole super power of our times after collapse of the Soviet Union.

India is a massive country, a huge economy and even larger ambitions. Indians and India judge United States as a regional power in the Americas.

It's a simple question of world's largest democracy versus the world's most powerful democracy. As American imperialism recedes, a new Indian dawn rises.

Don’t do it. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to bring out proof of how Pakistan society really operates when it suits them. It's not better than that

Anyway I just enjoyed it... I like such drama for fun.. good job indian, whoever thought about this..

and that only shows the real face of your country. If the majority chooses an uneducated extremist who survives on hate and division, what does that say about the society itself?
It just says you are ignorant and bigoted. Just because someone is poor doesn't mean they are uneducated. Even if he were uneducated, which he is not, wisdom and ability to lead a country is far more important than fancy degrees.

Sorry bro.

I very much disagree with polite way!

To put it simply, Pakistan went down the wrong path start with Zia-ul-Haq. Other smaller nations—like Vietnam, South Korea, and Indonesia—have done far better by choosing smarter policies. Pakistan walked this path by its own choice, and I call that a series of blunders.

It's not about size but direction and decisions made.

Bigot? That’s rich coming from someone defending Modi the gujarat butcher. Your PM is the biggest bigot of them all, built his whole career on hate and division. And you know what? You backing him just makes you the same a blind bhakt with zero spine. In your country bigotry isn’t an insult it’s a ticket to power.

Yap yap yap.

You were the one who brought up that he was a chaiwallah.

He became PM because he was elected by the people of India. I guess that is an alien concept in Pakistan, where the route to political power goes through formal or informal military coups and those who are elected end up in prison.

What does that matter???

The people of India elected him BECAUSE he was a hindutva extremist and they thought through him and hindutva they could at a minimum oppress Indian minorities Esperanza Indian Muslims

Are we going to accept the truth or try to spin the truth?

Bahmin in India but dalit in USA

Ok, you clearly don't understand what "both" means and it is also clear you have absolutely no understanding of Boolean logic.
If only you understood Boolean logic, otherwise you would not waffle so much.

Helpfully, you have confirmed your own bs.

Because they are saying they don't have the same opportunity

It's all that simple,
Maybe next time look at the advertisement section of news and apply for it. They publish ads and invite candidates. As long as you fulfill the criteria you can get selected. Surprise surprise

Saudi Aramco, Iraq’s SOMO halt crude sales to Indian refiner Nayara, sources say

Published September 1, 2025

NEW DELHI: Saudi Aramco and Iraq’s state oil company SOMO have stopped selling crude oil to India’s Nayara Energy in the aftermath of sanctions imposed in July by the European Union on the Russian-backed refiner, three sources familiar with the matter said.

The halting of supply from the two Gulf exporters means Nayara, majority-owned by Russian entities including oil major Rosneft, relied entirely on Russia for its crude oil imports in August, according to sources and LSEG shipping data.

Nayara typically receives around 2 million barrels of Iraqi crude and 1 million barrels of Saudi crude each month, but did not receive shipments from either of the two suppliers during August, shipping data from Kpler and LSEG showed.

SOMO and Nayara did not respond to requests for comment. Saudi Aramco declined to comment.

Sanctions-hit Indian refiner Nayara turns to dark fleet, tanker data shows

Two of the sources said that the sanctions had created payment problems for Nayara’s purchases from SOMO, without providing further details.

The most recent cargo of Basra crude from SOMO was discharged for Nayara by the Kalliopi, a very large crude carrier (VLCC), at Vadinar port on July 29, according to Kpler and LSEG data as well as data obtained from industry sources.

The private refiner received 1 million barrels of Arab Light carried by the VLCC Georgios co-loaded with a similar quantity of Basrah heavy on July 18, its last Saudi delivery, according to LSEG data.

Nayara is receiving direct supplies from Rosneft, an official from the Russian Embassy in New Delhi said last month.

The private company is operating its 400,000 barrel-per-day refinery at Vadinar in western India at about 70-80% capacity due to difficulties in selling its products resulting from the sanctions, sources have said.

Nayara Energy, which controls about 8% of India’s 5.2 million barrel-per-day refining capacity, has been struggling to transport fuel since the EU sanctions, relying on so-called dark fleet vessels after other shippers backed out, according to shipping reports and LSEG data.

The company’s CEO resigned in July. Last week, Nayara announced the appointment of a senior executive from Azerbaijan’s national oil company SOCAR as its chief executive.

Looks like EU sanctions on India are beginning to produce the desired effect.
