You’re citing 2 countries in Europe out of 44. That’s not exactly “Europe” as a whole
 
US and China are part of G2 and India was on the menu at their dinner table.

How does the US gain from this? India isn't antagonistic to the US at all to be honest.

China can gain from this because then "India" ceases to become a threat. China will negotiate border settlements with the neighbouring new nations and be done with the old conflict with former India. The collective nations will still be purchasing the same things from China and strategically it allows China to cooperate with independent nation states from the former India in a piecemeal fashion. This strengthens China's position regionally and globally but for these nations and people of the former India, it settles their conflict with China as well and gets China to have a vested interest in their stability. The US won't like this if it benefits China.

So even if China would like India balkanised, the US would never want this.

The purpose of NATO by its first Secretary General, Lord Ismay, after World War II was
"Keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down"

Now add China and North Korea to the list to say
"Keep the Russians, China and North Korea out, the Americans in, and the Europeans, Japanese, South Koreans, and Indians down"

China, North Korea and Russia are not enemies of the US.

Good perspective to give. I agree with what you said but the conclusion is still not totally accurate.

US hates China because while with China it can sell more weapons and exert deeper influence over more, China can completely displace US as the global hegemon. If you are just talking about nations like North Korea then sure. But when it comes to China or even Russia, these are hegemonic threats to the US. Russia too just due to population and land size.

New Delhi, Sep 15 (PTI) India's exports to the US declined by around 14 per cent on a month-on-month basis to USD 6.86 billion in August when the 50 per cent tariffs on Indian goods by the Trump administration came into effect in two tranches.

Indian exports to the US stood at USD 8 billion in July.

The US, however, continued to remain the top export destination for Indian goods in August as well as in the five months of the current fiscal year.

On a yearly basis, the exports to the US in August were up 7.15 per cent, according to the Commerce Ministry data.

The US had imposed a 25 per cent tariff on Indian goods effective August 7 and an additional 25 per cent penalty for buying Russian crude oil effective August 27.

After the US, the top destinations for Indian exports included the UAE (3.24 billion), the Netherlands (USD 1.83 billion), China (USD 1.21 billion) and the UK (USD 1.14 billion), according to the data.

Regarding imports, China accounted for USD 10.9 billion, followed by Russia (4.83 billion), the UAE (4.66 billion), the US (3.6 billion) and Saudi Arabia (2.52 billion).
