Indian Air Force News and Discussions ll

Failed to hit simplest of targets and we are supposed to believe somehow the Mig21 managed to shoot an F-16 with R-73.

And the irony of it - happens on 27th Feb 🤣 Lol

Whats shocking is at a display like this, it is done in near PERFECT conditions.

WTAF!?

Said it once, we give the IAF too much credit as being "Professional" in the modern meaning of the word.

This is not the IAF of the 50s, 60s and 70s who were almost the equal of us. This is a force made rotten by politics, corruption and favouritism.

The IAF of the 60s was not equal to you at all - they were a flying club of WW1 type with some good pilots but horrible overall leadership . From 65 onwards they put some good folks in charge and came back in 71.

Today, they still have great pilots - then average one and then it comes down to who is in charge.

As I keep trying to explain - when you have more than a billion Indians and they occupy posts everywhere with many Bhaktoras - including reuters where three Indian authors wrote an article comparing Pakistan’s and Afghanistan’s military forces - you have nothing but shit thrown everywhere.

I disagree, recent media and anecdotal evidence suggests below average pilot skill levels, but guess that is opinion
