Indian Air Force News and Discussions ll

The delay in Tejas deliveries is not solely an engine-related issue. At this stage, the key challenges is that the Israeli ELTA radar has compatibility issues with the sensor-fusion architecture of Tejas's indigenous avionics, which are expected to be resolved within the next 2–3 months. Meanwhile, the indigenous UTTAM AESA radar is also under mass production.

Since UTTAM has been developed in India to work with the Tejas avionics architecture, it doesnt require integration modifications. The challenge arises when you try to integrate foreign systems with an indigenous avionics ecosystem.

The GE F404 engine, too, was specifically integrated into the Tejas airframe and its onboard systems. It cannot simply be replaced with a GE F414 or a French M88 engine without substantial engineering work.

Such a change would require modifications to the airframe and engine installation, followed by renewed integration, testing and qualification of the affected systems. Replacing an engine is not a plug-and-play process, even when the replacement engine is technologically superior.

All of the above may indeed be correct, but it does not change the facts I posted right?

Best bit when I think he was actually drunk and at the end of a rambling speech casually mentioned "Oh yes and S-400 downed 12 PAF jets" and no other detail. Literally not even Indian Government repeated it. It was just so so cringe.

This guy has stained the IAF uniform so badly. Arjun Singh must be turning in his grave seeing a fine legacy destroyed by a political sycophant
He was even stupid enough to add ‘as I am the AC, if I say it, people will believe it’ 😂 sounds awfully like what one of Modi Ji’s cronies told him when he questioned the instructions to make such comical claims.

IAF to get its own satellite as defence ministry signs Rs 2,563 crore deal

Army's own satellite, GSAT-7B, is being built under a Rs 3,000-crore contract signed with NSIL in March 2023. The Navy launched GSAT-7R, the replacement for its GSAT-7 'Rukmini' satellite, in November last year.

But, you've to appreciate the perpetual "jolly good fellow" mood these Serdarjis perennially carry with them! What's the secret? I need to learn for I've never seen a Serdarji here in the USA or the UK in a gloomy mood!!

Other Chiefs would have permanently lost their capacity to publicly project even a minor smile or kidding if their entire AF, built with over a trillion $ of investment (estimating the time value of money spanning since '71), going down the drain within 52 minutes of air skirmishes! And, that too against a 7x smaller arch enemy whose absolute perdition is equated to the entire nation's religious (irrespective of faith - the Bharati Muslims wish for Pak's destruction much more than the Bharati Hindus) redemption!

Ahh White Men Ahh! You never consider the "brown folks" any higher than the other "niggas"! Even if you marry them or put them at the helms of your top-most companies. Very sad, if not tragic. Lessons are to be learnt here.....

US F-35 SHOCK TO INDIA

It's kind of expected given the close relationship between India and Russia.

F35 is only for those who entirely fall into the American camp. F35 was never on offer apart from lip service and India probably never intended to seriously buy it.

The rest is media speculation and geopolitics 101.
