Honestly Modi and Asim Munir both can be behind this. Modi popularity is waning, he need this for next election.

Asim Munir popularity is all time low, he could use some conflict with India.

Or maybe its just locals fed up with colonial settler project of India.
It was angry locals or Indian false flag.

GHQ would never authorize a mass attack on civilian targets in todays climate where even TTP pretends to be a human rights activist group.

The last time the Indians tried to do something stupid, Pakistan provided a calibrated response to send a firm message. What Pakistan failed to realise is that the Indians are quite stupid and the message was too subtle for them to u derstand

I am not sure about exactly what Pakistan did in Feb. 2019. Maybe, from within the airspace of Pakistan, very carefully launched missiles into empty areas of Indian military facilities to send a message. The Indian officials heard it close to them. A repeat of that was done to Iran some months ago as a reaction to the Iranian strikes inside Baluchistan, but this time people were targeted. And per one source, the Chinese had helped Pakistan with radar jamming or intelligence gathering in 2019 against India.

this time - they will hit us with brahmos thats for sure!! there would not be PAF-IAF
Yeah, much like Israel-Iran conflicts where Iran with an inferior Air Force resorts to missiles and prays the Israelis don’t decimate Iran in retaliation.

China is our closest ally, no doubt.

Most likely angry locals.
Why would the state of Pakistan want any tensions right now? Trump's tariffs on Pakistan has revised down Pakistan's GDP projection and to think that even a minor conflict wouldn't cause major damage to the Pakistani economy? Okay, so between 1989-2004, Pakistan probably did actively infiltrate fighters into Kashmir but rightly saw that that was a double edged sword which was proving more harmful to Pakistan and thus Pakistan stopped.
Why can't Indians be more circumspect about their failed policies in Indian Occupied Kashmir when Pakistanis openly discuss what happened in the then East Pakistan? Why can't the Afghans put the majority of the blame on their own ruling class after Zahir Shah fell and the Soviets were invited? Both of the countries blame Pakistan for their own blunders.

For now, any talk of attacking Pakistan without some solid proof should be considered irresponsible and irrational behaviour from a nuclear state

Let's see what India actually says, I doubt they strike soon, more likely to retain the option and keep tention up

In light of current tensions, this thread is opened to track diplomatic and military actions of the two countries.

This thread is purely for tracking, updating and discussing diplomatic actions and military movements and operations. No politics please.

On April 22, a group of foreign Indian tourists including some Indian intelligence and military personnel was attacked by The Resistance Front (TRF) in Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Women and children were spared but 27 foreign men were shot.

The attack was justified by TRF as a response to Indian attempts to flood Kashmir with Indian settler colonists —
around 84,000 domicile certificates had recently been issued to Indian settlers in the area.

Please do not debate about Kashmir, do that in the existing thread(s) in the Kashmir section. Do not chest thump/war monger. If you want to learn about the Kashmir conflict , read this book from page 148 onwards (prior to this is pre 1947 context) https://archive.org/details/kashmir-a-disputed-legacy-by-alastair-lamb/page/147/mode/1up

While it is possible it is a false flag, that still doesn’t protect Pakistan diplomatically. Pakistan has been on a continuous decline it’s is D.I.M.E. And most countries, including many of Pakistan’s friends look first at the economic imbalance between two and decide that they don’t care who’s to blame, they don’t want to ruin their relations with the country that can benefit them most.

Only the strong military capabilities remain as a bulwark against Indian misadventure, but those aren’t enough to protect Pakistan from the diplomatic consequences regardless of who’s to blame. This is another Mumbai, especially if foreigners were killed.

Btw, RIP to the innocent civilian victims.
