I strongly believe had Rahul Gandhi been the PM in 2019, India would have gone to full-fledged war with pakistan and not superficial airstrike.

China has invested billions in the CPEC and the surrounding Belt and Road Project.

India’s first target will be the Gwadar-port to cut China off from the Arabian Sea.

Even if all Chinese investment in CPEC is destroyed (which has very very low chance), Chinese has enough money to re-build all that infrastructure. But China will jump in much before that. China and Pakistan will then destroy vast Indian infrastructure and India will not be able to re-build it in even 30 years. This holds if no nukes are used.
