Indians boasting on their model minority status and going maga pissed off more established groups like Latinos and African Americans who wondering where these guys came from.

It’s not a causus belli just yet. The Indians want Pakistan to attack right now. Besides, there are other ways to deal with dams.

Finally, we need China on board to any major war plan of that scale. If there is to be a two front war, China will want to take Ladakh including the full main Indus River (which they call Little Tibet), just before Kargil (and the Muslim majority population there), and wipeout any independent Tibetan enclave.

During Trump’s tariff war, China maybe willing to do it, but only after many more escalations of India actually implementing the change, and has put Pakistan on “Fatal Terrain” as Sun Tzu would have said; leaving them no option but to fight to ask China to support them in this endeavor.

When the Dalai Lama dies, it will be a test to see if India alienates China further, undermining their rule in Tibet and forcing China to have causus belli of its own with India.

If you look at the details of this Ethnographic map of Tibet, the areas of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh fall clearly in areas China considers “Little Tibet”, which also overlap the origins of many rivers.
