These are your words in speech marks, not mine. Certainly, I would agree that many innocent civilians were tragically martyred.

However, it has not escaped the attention of the world's media that at least 2 active/inactive Indian military personnel were among the victims.

When Indian deployed Mukhti Bahini tortured and executed the defenceless families of military personnel in broad daylight in erstwhile East Pakistan in 1971, did the same descriptors apply to the victims of MB, or did Manekshaw record them under the overall moniker of "occupying forces killed by liberators"?

If India kills 2 members of Pakistan's military in the upcoming conflict and 10 civilians die as "collateral damage", will the episode be recorded in your annals as an "attack on innocent civilians by the IA"?

I am not implying one narrative should prevail over another, however, I am providing food for thought, some analogous scenarios that might warrant consideration.

Jaishankar probably thought to tap into Greece/Cyprus vs Turkey angle as Turkey is supplying arms to Pakistan as we speak to counter India. But even they didn't name 'Pakistan' for the attack in Pahalgam. No country has far named Pakistan, except India; even Netanyahu used 'Islamic Terror' without naming Pakistan.
