MR-SAM project had a lot of influence upon future DRDO dual-pulse missile designs like Akash-NG and Kusha ERADS project interceptors.

A lot of our missile projects are inspired by projects of friendly countries, like Kusha being inspired by S-400 and Rudram series by ROCKS and LORA. Very few countries build and operate long range ALBMs.
 
could it be ET-LDHCM?

Mach 6 in 20 minutes (maximum runtime of Indian Scramjet engine) gives 2450 KM distance....

Why would anyone buy such a simple product? Any country can make these, even Pakistan is now, that is how simple they are.

1000 kms is quite short if we compare with Shahid which goes upto 2500 kms.... is it using heavier warhead compared to Shahid?

It is about scale of production and diversification. These don't need a lot of subsystems necessary for launch and are essentially like ammunition that can be fired/launched from any compatible launcher.

India also is the world's largest manufacturer of 2-wheeler engines and capacity is only expanding further, similar type of engines go inside these OWAs so we have the scale and cost advantage.

It all depends on warhead weight. 7-8 hours of endurance is enough to give 1500-2000km range but with smaller warhead.
