The systematic infiltration and takeover of the nation's constitutional democratic institutions. To the point where even if and when we want change, our votes will not matter.

Take a look around the world. And see what happens when a population reaches that point.

To be very very honest, during Congress time, much worse control of government used to be there. I mean for crying out loud this is the same party that imposed emergency on India, it is the party that overrode the supreme court judgement retroactively for their political benefit while crushing a woman's right, it is the party that used to play congress propaganda song "Char Kadam Sooraj Ke Or" on doordarshan when doordarshan was pretty much the only channel available, this is the party that literally sent its political opponents to prison without trial during emergency. During Indra Gandhi's time Sanjay Gandhi used to run the government unofficially. The list is way long.

I doubt BJP is doing any more infiltration than Congress did during its time. And I am yet to see any evidence of BJP being able to stop the change of guards if they are voted out. BJP is in power on the dint of its popularity required to rule under first past the pole system. Even if one believes the EVM hacking BS, repeated opinion polls by likes of PEW just reflect the same reality of BJP and Modi's popularity. BJP is in power because it is popular enough.

A lot more new Pakoda makers added to our economy.

On a light note, dont scoff at Pakoda making. My Pakoda wala bought "truck" much earlier than I bought my bike. Pune Pakoda and Chai walas in places like Viman Nagar and Hinjewadi make/made a killing.

My friend who has been recently laid off as a Sr Software Manager in Vancouver is planning to start his food truck with Pakoda, Chole/Rajma chawal and Chai for dirt cheap prices per plate. Given food inflation here, his trial runs produced way too much interest. For kicks, I also joined him once around Christmas time when I was visiting him. He sells out way too fast! We started out in morning at 6:30 AM getting the food ready and by 1:30 PM, we had met the sales target for the day. We were thinking about donating the left overs to food bank... there were none.

That being said during my time, I used to live near Hinjewadi. Pimple Saudagar Chowk was like the mecca for street food (momos, fruits, chat, lassi, chai etc) and young couples. From the google street view that part looks like changed. Too many memories of sitting on "footpath" with feet on the road and eating Momos with my then girlfriend.

Yup. Many do not even consider it to be Pune. It used to be just small settlements on Mumbai Pune route in past. I mean when I left, Phase three was barely coming up and had woods. Go beyond phase 3 and you are wooded roads away from population. That and Mula Mutha rivers used to cause floods making it unsuitable for city life. I guess sometimes in 2010s they dug the river bed to make it more robust for flood season.

He is surrounded by idiotic Cong Leaders from Kerala They are his advisors. The only smart decision (& the biggest) his advisors made was to move him to Wayanad. These leaders apply the stuff that works in Kerala, pan India.
You can't go around and talk down on Modi personally and hope to win. Right now he is beyond RGs reach. What he should've done is to learn from BJP, if he was the CM of any state like say, MP, RJ and showed people how he can manage it then people probably would've been somewhat inclined to accept him. He was never made even a minister of State in 10 years of Congress rule, all he did was come up wanting to be PM. All this PR maybe good to familiarise him but he is not unfamiliar.
