Don’t know why this thread even exists. Congress as a party is done for. Rahul Gandhi just hastened its death. A new opposition built on solid Indian ethos and value systems is needed. I think there is space for a clean, honest, Indian ethos centric leader to emerge. Indians will only vote for son-of-the-soil leaders, people who are intimately in tune with their majoritarian values. I simply see no such leader in the congress today or even emerging. Actually I don’t see any such leader who we can call a patriot in any of the opposition parties. This is why BJP cannot be challenged for a long, long, long time.

Parliament uproar: Lok Sabha adjourned amid uproar by opposition, no PM Modi speech today​

Both Houses of Parliament are set to continue discussions on the motion of thanks to the President’s address during the ongoing Budget Session on Wednesday. In the Lok Sabha, the debate, moved by Sarbananda Sonowal and seconded by Tejasvi Surya, has been allotted 18 hours, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to respond later today. The motion was moved in the Rajya Sabha by BJP MP Sadanand Master.

The debate follows President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the joint sitting on January 28. Meanwhile, MPs Jair Parkash and Balashowry Vallabhaneni are slated to table several Public Accounts Committee reports. The session comes a day after heated exchanges in the Lok Sabha, which led to the suspension of eight opposition MPs.
